Might be wise to read up on it, regardless.

I drink milk and eat yoghurt regularly; I just don't when I have a cold and noticed the colds clear quickly and I feel less bunged up. I know a normal amount of mucus is good.

Could well be something in it. I don't have any dairy at all most days and I'm never really ill, or feel rough for more than 24 hours.

There's definitely something in it. Even when people don't have a cold, if they're doing a voice recording we would tell them to avoid dairy close to the recording time because it results in more mucus and a clackier stuffy voice sound.

          That's nonsense.

I have dairy all the time and the only day I've had off sick was when I was the sole survivor of a train crash when I was working as a security guard in Philadelphia just before Samuel L. jackson started harassing me.

Nobody is saying it makes you sick, QC. It's that it creates more mucus. And did you ever stop to think that maybe Sam Jackson would have left you alone if you weren't so hyped up on dairy?

Samuel L. Jackson should've had more milk. His bones were so brittle they called him "Mr. Glass."

They called him that as a friendly reminder to him to drink more glasses of milk.

                  Nonsense?

Indeed. It's proven that the best de-phlegming solution for a cold is a big pint of warm orange juice.

Annoying face book "tests" such as that one that says see if you can work out and share if you understand

                      such as 6 + 4 = 210

It is not 210 it is 10 ...i do not care if there is a hidden equations in it that would not wash if i got that question at school and put down 210.

Oh and another irk is moving to england ....finding houses and the costs you have to go through just to rent a place....it is so much simpler in ireland.

Well, the cold kicked in full on last night...two bloody hours sleep in total! On a ten-day-in-a-rower at work (luckily only got tomoz left to do!) and today has been proper spaced out and I've been hacking up bloody chunks of phlegm and using up bogroll like there's no tomorrow.

Hit the sack about 2ish last night, sore throat kicked in in ten minutes, then the mucus started...torrentially. Tossed and turned and eventually nodded off at 5.30ish only to be awoken by my git of a neighbour drilling in his garden at 7.30am!!!

It's an 8/10er, it won't be an easy cold but I'm hoping to fast track the bugger. Runny nose. Sore throat. Hurty, dry cough. Headache, fever, the works. Annoying crap. Gonna kip tonite though. 1000mg Paracetamol, 400mg Ibuprofen, 30mg Codeine Phosphate, the latter of which not only acts a good sleep aid and funky narcotic but also is an antitussive, which means it's good for coughs!

Can't wait for that codeine to kick in...ain't had one in months...god bless legal heavy poppy-based drugs.

We don't care about all that.

WHAT YOU GONNA DO ABOUT DAIRY FFS

Uh...well...I been drinking tea all day..with MILK...and I had four Lidl fruit Mivvi lollies when I got in...which have ice cream (MILK!) in the middle...!

But I gotta admit, too much dairy complicates matters...if I drink a pint of milk, I get milk phlegm for a good half hour afterwards!!!

Just give it a try for half a day and see what happens.

Might have to give up the idea of a Japan visit next year so I can save more for school. Not really a smile I guess...
