100 Points for you. What book you reading? Ice and Fire or one of his other stories.

I've just finished reading The Bonehunters by Steven Erikson, must say i really enjoy Erikson's style of fantasy writing.

The Twilight Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko.

Third in the series of Watch books. The films are good and very loosely based on the novels but don't base your impression of the novels on the films.
These are some of the most enjoyable books I have read for ages. Whoever provides the translations has done an excellent job.
One more book due out in this series quite soon I believe although given that it's called "The Last Watch" it may be the last in the series. Still it's set in Edinburgh so at least it'll go out in style.

Blood and Gold, the second part of Storm of Swords. It's just epic goodness, kind of like War of the Roses intrigue with a bit of magic and dragons thrown in for good measure. Love the point of view chapters

Often felt like giving Erikson a go myself.

It's been a while, but I'm halfway through John Grisham's latest book The Appeal & it's just good as his others & it's a nice change of pace from Terry Brooks.

                  The Road by Cormac McCarthy.

It's bleak and only lasts a couple of sittings but it's a powerful and emotional read.

Road to Reality by Roger Penrose

Unfortunately the hardback edition I have is 2kg so I can't read much at a time or stand lugging it to work and back every day.

In the past couple of weeks I've re-read Neuromancer, Count Zero and Burning Chrome. Started Mona Lisa Overdrive today, probably finish it over the weekend. I wish it was the future now /big geek talk

Just finished 7th Heaven by James Patterson which was a nice fast & enjoyable read & I'm now onto Wizard At Large by Terry Brooks.

I'm nearly finished with The Book of Dave by Will Self. Excellent stuff.

I'm almost finished with The Shining by Stephen King. It's been great, even if it did take a while to really get into the story, but I wasn't really bothered.

Oops, another big bump from me. Just finished Nothing to Lose by Lee Child & thoroughly enjoyed it, in fact, my favourite Jack Reacher novel so far. And I'm just about to start Hold Tight, Harlan Coben's new novel.

I'm about to start reading George Orwell's Nineteen eighty four. Problem is, i'm a slow reader and i find it hard to read a book and really take it in, unless it really grabs me.
