So if lockdown rules are relaxed that number will?
a) Go up
or
b) Go down

It's just gotten too vague with rules of who you can see & where you can go that people are just "Sod It" and carrying on regardless.
I'm seeing more people on the roads & in the parks.
I'd love to take Chloe back over the park now but it's just crazy busy & no free space so we mooch in the garden or walk up the local shop
That said I have been considering taking myself up to my storage unit for some stuff sorting.
It's a 24/7 unit accessed by key code & even without lockdown restrictions it was rare there was anyone up there other than me at any one time & if I go mid evening it's even less likely to have people there.
It would give me something to do & to focus on...my mental health not doing so well at the moment

Been working through some old lego sets, playing a lot of animal crossing and working through my pile of shame on the ps4. i went back to the Witcher 3 and it plays quite a bit better than i remember it as i think i played it on a base PS4 at launch with horrendous load times.
had more time to do stuff in the house too, tidying up the yard sprucing up stuff around the house and trying to enjoy the extra time i save each day by not commuting as much.

I actually feel like I'm a bit of a fraud with how I feel, because I'm officially working from home I shouldn't be feeling like I do because I do have some structure to my day so don't actually feel like I have reason to moan
I am trying to work on my gaming in my lunch breaks but find because everyone else is occupying the TV that if I do manage anything it's just a couple of rounds of FIFA, other than that I sit here looking at junk on the interwebs
I have stopped watching the briefings & keep up with what happens on here or on the Feed stuff that comes up when I open a new Tab on Microsoft Edge - yes Work PC still have that as default browser & I'm not allowed to change it
Weekends I do try to get into the garden & stuff but as I'm not very handy it generally just goes as far as mowing the grass lol
I also do the shopping at the weekends & with queuing & stuff I'm normally out for a couple of hours which is mind numbing
Ah I genuinely just feel I'm moaning for no good reason & other people have much more real issues that I shouldn't be feeling like It's all against me...I'm healthy still so that should be enough
I am planning to get myself in my loft again at the weekend & start straightening that up...might even get at the Transformers for a bit if I can but who knows, depends how demanding Chloe is for my attention
Thanks again man, sorry to sound off

We're living in a global pandemic, the likes of which none of us have ever seen. We're surrounded by anxiety and worries and far too many unknowns. And we're not great with unknowns at the best of times.
I'd be surprised if this wasn't wearing us down. We're all going to have bad days and we're all going to have a moan and that's okay. As Wakka says, don't beat yourself up over it. Everything you're feeling is there with good reason and it's all valid.

I'm trying to keep on smiling for Chloe's sake more than anything.
I think the hard bit is the not knowing when seeing family properly & not from the end of the path or some other odd social distanced option is going to happen
It was my mums 70th Birthday yesterday & Chloe's 8th birthday on the 3rd June, at the moment both will have passed without seeing anyone & it's just the unknown that is hard to get your head around

Starmer did a great job at PMQs yesterday. Johnson was all over the place and clearly losing his temper at one point. In particular, he was held to account regarding the plans to increase the NHS surcharge for migrant care workers.
Johnson insisted it was the right thing to do but today it's been dropped.

The trade body has said that pubs could be able to reopen beer gardens from July. Social Distancing rules and alcohol?
And the English death rate is now down to normal winter levels. I mean, it's late May so I'm not sure how reassuring that stands as a statistic but...

I think we are heading to a "common sense" rule where it's up to us. And if you are old or have a condition, take that into account of whether the risk is worth whatever you are doing. It will be bad for nurses in their new role, and bad for people with any other condition requiring a stay in hospital.Last edited by cutmymilk; 21-05-2020, 23:35.
