If you look at Putins history and what he’s achieved, and survived, then glance and look at the other absolutely laughable leaders, no wonder he does whatever he pleases and laughs all the way. There’s certainly not many like him left thats for sure, he’s of a different era and caliber entirely.

The EU wants to pass a ruling that would deny US companies to access data of Eurpoean citizens, thus making targeted ads impossible, at least for US companies.
In response, Meta has...ehm...threatened to pull Instagram and Facebook.
While it sounds like a win situation for European citizens, the ruling doesn't affect only Meta, and this could spell trouble for Amazon, Google, and pretty much any big US company.
Meta states in an SEC filing it is considering leaving Europe if it can no longer exchange data from European users with the United States, following the Schrems II decision. This story is evolving, and since publication a response from Meta has been received which confirms the company is concerned...

This is an issue. Vast numbers of jobs depend on the ability of their companies to advertise on retargeted mode in social. If Facebook ceased, huge numbers of businesses would have to find other ways of advertising. Some businesses don't even have websites and just exist on social. Crazy as it is....
