Well, both "cocaine" and "septum" are trending on Twitter, so it appears a lot of other people agree with you, 'bowski!

Good ol twitter some fantastic lampooning of Jorris Bonson, it kind of restores your faith in the brit sense of humour that #Pinocchio #septum are tending, spoil sports have removed cocaine as a trending tag though.

Carrie Johnson trendning too now its been confirmed that members of the PM's team personally intervened to have a story about his wife Carrie Johnson withdrawn from publication in The Times – but denied that Boris Johnson was personally involved in the discussions

Good lesson in how to take a story and double its explosiveness, a story about the PM trying to appoint a mistress to a key post in government at public expenseis is now also about do the Tory's control parts of the media.

UK needs to tax salt in the same way it does sugar, says heart charity | Heart attack | The Guardian
Following the sugar tax that has made no dent, BHF says slap on a salt tax too

Just make it so no one can afford food. Good job.

I think the point is that it forces the food manufacturers to reduce the levels of salt in their products, rather than make the products themselves more expensive. Which the large food manufacturers obviously won't do without some prodding:

Per-capita consumption of salt fell across the UK in the early 2000s from over 9g to 8.1g a day when the then Food Standards Agency told food producers to cut the amount they used, using a tough approach lauded by doctors and public health experts. However, progress towards meeting the government’s own target of 6g a day stopped in around 2010 when the Conservative-led coalition government began relying on firms reducing salt voluntarily.
Seems a perfectly reasonable idea to me.

The trouble is only a handful of products would adapt as opposed to passing on the cost to consumers. Like how I'm not allowed to buy Cherry Pepsi in this country. However I can buy normal Pepsi where somehow the 5% Sugar Tax has translated into a 25% price difference between it and Diet Pepsi.

Because it's not a Carrot with a pot of hummus trade standards can't seem to be bothered to pull them up for it

Its fine to drink yourself to death in a day with beer though, which contains massive amounts of fat, that’s absolutely fine, but I can’t get a full fat coke on my 1 restaurant visit a year.

British Heart Foundation are selling a scratched up copy of Maximo on the PS2 with a battered case and no manual for £4.99. They need to sort that out before going on about salt.
