That's the era we're in now. We won't hear a single remotely positive thing from No.10 for at least two years now

If only WE were in some kind of union that was willing to shield its citizens from the energy companies. I’ve no idea what an organisation like that would be called though.

Absolutely, that would be a terrible position for the country to be in.

The whole debate over this is bizarre.

Who actually wants to allow fracking in the UK? Literally who?

If you say "yes", I assume you're one of a really small group of people who are going to potentially work on it, or you own a petrochemical corporation (or large stake in one). That's great for what must be, right now, at most, a thousand people. Nationally. IN A COUNTRY OF SEVENTY MILLION.

Ive seen a lot of people really pushing for dirty energy if it makes things cheaper and its not in their backyard. We had a company called endless energy wanting to build an incinerator a few miles down the road from where i live After 7 years of not being able to start due to countless protest and numerous legal challenges you'd hope the company wanting to make it would find a new location, one that isnt at the bottom of a Valley with house on level with its chimneys, or directly opposite a massive sports facility, right next door to a primary school and large housing estate and in an area that already has high pollution levels and high childhood asthma.

You have to wonder how it ever got the go ahead in the first place from the environment agency, then you remember that their not there to protect the public more that their there to protect business interests.

As for fracking, Mogg wants it through because he has interests in the company going after the contracts, obviously.

The UK will find a way out of that if it happens. If fact they'll slash tax.
