Reports coming in of disorderly retreats by the Russians over their own minefields, i mean, ok.

It's rumoured that Russia has suffered it's heaviest losses since the start of the war. 25k+ is the number going around. That's ridiculous if true.

The ISW report yesterday doesn't mention any of that. It talks of at least 4 Ukraine counter offensives that have mostly been beaten back by superior Russian EW.

Who knows. Everything is quite sketchy coming out of there. It's seems like an extraordinary number of dead, but at the same time, the way Russia are, not completely improbable.

Reports are so mixed on this counter offensive but I'm more inclined to believe it's largely Russia attempting to hide its failures as it would seem strange for Ukraine to suddenly launch a major offensive at the same time it becomes much less competent at fending off Russians
