It'll be a massive mistake if Heard's team continues to play for time on Monday rather than move things rapidly on too. With such a huge amount of time remaining for Depp's team Heard could very easily find herself in a position where Depp's team can call witnesses and Heard's team won't be able to cross examine.

Depps team basically hold the last week of the trial to themselves. Which is likely to be more fresh in the minds of the jury as they go to deliberate.
The closing statement is 90 minutes long, so Heards team also have to take that time into concideration.

If they're calling Depp as a witness I doubt they'll get much from him at this point and that will eat 2-3 hours as well at the least. Heard's team are pretty much done with their case at this point

I just did some catch up and the Police Detective Heards team questioned just blew the case to bits.
She was questioned about the process of investigating a physical assault, and she explained it really clearly. Then Heards lawyer asked if an investigation was carried out by police when they entered the scene...

No injuries were seen and no damage to property. Nothing in the penthouse showed any signs of an altercation which needed investigating.

And this was a witness on Heards side!! I guess the lawyer was trying to show the police did a bad job, but nope they followed procedure to the letter.

The amount of media drive to try and shore around Heard is disgusting and incredibly telling, the last few days have seen a big surge in defensive pieces appear. Never knew Heard was such an icon of theirs... hell of a hill to die on

Next week Jennifer Howell will testify. She is Amber's Sisters best friend, or was until this case.
This is a big deal because she not only has a different story about the staircase incident, that being that Amber's sister fled the scene to her house because she was scared of Amber and that Amber was attacking Depp. But also has messages from Amber's sister talking about how scared she was of her sister and how violent she could be.

She couldn't originally stand in court because it would have been hearsay, but because her sister was on the stand, she can now be used as a direct rebuttal.

Given how all in Depps team went when wrapping up his sinitial line of witnesses I can only imagine what their plans will be this week. Heard's team have fely like they're running on fumes all week.

The timing is interesting as another week and many can play it safe but Mission NGO, a 150 country international not for profit that supports women who have been abused, have issued a statement voicing their support for Depp

Apparently Heard's teams first witness of the day is a Doctor who is there to discredit Depp's finger injury claims and has been utterly shut down and discredited because said Doctor is being paid $5000 to give the testimony and is a witness to nothing, having never treated or assessed Depp or his injury - he's literally just speculating on the stand for cash

I imagine at this point, regardless of what happens in Depp's case, Heard's counter Defamation case will fail.

Yep, I imagine partially it's bad players and also it's become a huge traffic driver as well. Pretty much like earlier in the discussion, it's good it's due to wrap up because it's reached the point where it's being hijacked by other parties for their own purposes.

The guy on the stand right now is another Dr who is the very definition of speculation. He's concludes that Depp is an abuser based only on evidence presented to him by Heards team. He hasnt spoken to Depp or gathered any information himself. Completely pointless.
