I eat that much cheese 😁

I'm actually taking part in a nutritionist webinar therapy talk thing about losing weight/ bettering diet.
Some of the portion sizes are crazy.

A portion of cheese is the size of your two thumbs together/ small matchbox size. guessing the size to be slightly bigger adds a lot on over time. That's how much you are allowed a day. Fine grating it makes it go further but that **** is depressing.

Royal Mail parcel postboxes. I noticed one of these on my way into work so decided to use one. While convenient it appears to take 3-4 days to actually get scanned and marked as collected by RM, not ideal. I don't think I'll bother in future.

It's why most breakfast cereals are really bad for you. Kelloggs tries to market them as healthy, but if you look at the "recommended portion size" on the side and weigh it out, it's a real eye-opener. Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes are akin to a shotglass-worth.

So true Asura. 30g recommended portion is like just enough to look like a tiny pot of bar-snack peanuts.

I got a few boxes of Weetabix Chocolate Melts very cheap at the discount supermarket (they're nearly out of date), 360g box and 12 servings. What is this - a breakfast for ants? I think I might get 4 or 5 out at a push.

Current irksome thing for me is the hype given to British players at Wimbledon, particularly those who have about as much chance of getting through the first two rounds, particularly the Singles, as a snowball in hell.

Latest hype was Katie Boulter, the current British No.1 womens' player, who I noticed about three years ago and commented on how good she was last year at Eastbourne, the tournament that precedes Wimbledon, here:-

The BBC hyped her game today against one of last year's finalists ignoring the fact that she had almost no hope of beating her. Anyone with an ounce of honesty could have predicted the match would be lucky to last an hour. That was exactly the case with a humiliating 6:1, 6:1 defeat.

Its the hype that irks me not her performance. It heaps pressure on players and when they fail to live up to the hype even more so as it makes it seem they've disappointed the whole country. Unfair.

                  I am absolutely f*****g livid

I successfully got a pre-order in for the Pyra & Mythra amiibo on the Nintendo UK store website months ago, it was a surprise birthday gift for Asura. I wasn't even 100% sure I would get it at release as I have made pre-orders in the past with them and they just...not get posted out and 6 months later I get a refund (animal crossing enamel mugs years ago). I have bought and received stuff since so no issues apart from that pre-order, they must have just run out of the product and not made more than they thought.

So when I got the notification that it was being sent out on Thursday and delivered on Friday, I was very happy, even more so as my husband would be home so there would be no way the post would not get delivered...

Except...The tracking said the address was bad and has been send back to sender. I looked at my order and my address is in the wrong order but still perfectly use able (think High street road, 10). I did not do this, the website has moved my address around. I went to change my address for the site regardless, it gave the automated address finder and when it goes into my record...its still messed up. If I type it in it doesnt work right either.

I tried contacting customer services and they said id get a refund which is useless as the item is now impossible to get. I guess someone in the warehouse is getting an item they can re-sell on ebay for a stupid price now.

I'm so angry I've been crying, I am incredibly disappointed.

Thing is, the people delivering it have a brain and would have had no problems delivering it. I mean royal mail have delivered things with some terrible hand writing and even just a postcode.
Sounds like you got ****ed on a technicality and a jobsworth.

Blobcat I had a very similar problem with the Nintendo UK store; they messed up my address (somehow) and the item wasn’t delivered properly and returned. I think it’s not an uncommon problem when buying stuff off them, unfortunately.

Honestly they've always been terrible. I've never trusted them because the business that now has the Nintendo UK e-commerce contract is actually former failed videogame & movie retailer TheHut. They were crap then and they're still crap now.

UPDATE. Decided to randomly refresh my tracking on the parcel. Despite us both being in all day today, they 'failed to redeliver' around 1pm and snuck a card in without knocking or (weirdly) using the buzzer to get into the apartment block.

Leaped through hoops of fire wrangling their website but I THINK they have now confirmed they will deliver to a certain post office as I just dont trust whatever postie is working this week. I have no idea when I will find time during the week to get it but I'm hoping I will have it in my possession by Wednesday now if it truly exists

Banks are really keen to push voice ID on customers at the minute. Every time I call I have to listen to a long automated message about it before opting out. I don't want to do it, and I'm not sure it's all that secure with the way AI is coming along?

They've been warning about the dangers of voice ID recently for that very reason. When so many people are spewing the minutiae of their miserably tedious lives online in videos complete with high quality audio the security problems using voice ID are obvious.
