Same story as Everton, Newcastle, Blackburn etc all the play with **** all to show for it...we still lack a player who will bag 15-20 scruffy goals a season in the league. Until we find one we'll never be quite good enough.

Our corners and free kicks are becoming a joke too...

Having carmed down a bit now I can see that we shouln't be disappointed or disheartened at all. We did no matter what anyone says dominate the game and as they say, if it was another day some of our attemts would have gone in. The fact is now that, after seasons in the wilderness we are at last playing decent football and starting to level up against the other top 3 teams. Over the years we've all fumed and spit blood at how in hell the mancs seem to do us over almost all the time, but this time we should not feel ashamed. We played very well at times and deserved more from a tough game.

I'm still and even more so now, confident that Benitez will sort us out in the future no worries.

You don't know how much I hope and pray that you're right, Supergoal. I just want to see Liverpool not be out of title contention before Xmas.

If Hicks & Gillette back him financially as promised, I don't see how Rafa will be able to have any excuses next season.

Possibly.
I fear we'll still be behind both Chelsea & United in terms of buying power in the transfer windows. I'm not holding my breath on any £15-£20m players coming in during the summer.
