Did anyone go to the game yesterday?
Jesus Christ, it has to be the worst game of footy I've ever sat through. Two of the most unadventurous, boring sides you will ever see. Can't really blame O'Neil, he can only do so much with the limited bunch of players he has, but we have no excuse. Why was Kuyt playing most of the game in midfield?

Only player who did anything going forwards was Pennant when he came off the bench.

I didn't go to see it, but watched it with a mate on Sky Sports 1 after the WBA/B'ham City match and was left wishing I hadn't. In fact, it totally put me off watching the scum play Arsenal afterwards.

Rafa has seriously got to think about injecting some REAL quality into the first team and squad next season, otherwise it will be the same old "distant 3rd/4th place Prem finish with sporadic cup success" next season.

It was an horrible match. Watching the players who have set fairly high standards this season being barely able to pass the ball pissed me off. Gerrand had a total mare even though he was shouting at all the other players to pick up their game!

Yeah, a nice change from the last outing.

Aurelio was outstanding, it's a shame he has such trouble with injuries and is rarely 100% fit. And Arbeloa on the other side is looking like he could really give Finnan a fight for the right back slot next season - linked up well with Pennant (who also had another very solid game).

Mascherano is looking much fitter now and was tearing into tackles, looks a cracking player.

The most important question regarding this season though....

Is the team a better one that last season's team?

Personally I think no matter what happens from now in this remaining part of the season, I believe we are a fair way better than last season and season before last.
