Yeah in a game that means so much! Ah well, at least we get a decent looksy.

It's the ideal game to help get him up to speed. As much as I've been wanting him on the pitch (and wanting Lucas off it ), throwing him in at the deep end in the Merseyside derby or against a tough tackling team like Blackburn could have been a disaster.

Tonight he can just go out and enjoy himself and get match fit. However well he plays I can't see him playing against Arsenal at the weekend but with Wigan, Portsmouth and Wolves coming up I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty of him soon

Keep faith? I think he has done pretty well this season. If anything for most of this season its Mashcerano, for whatever reason, who has been the weakest of the pairing.

Lucas, for me, has begun to prove Rafa right.

Oh well, at least Aquilani got minutes and Pacheco, my fav player from our youth setup, made a surprising appearance.

On a side note, not that I even care now because it wouldn't have changed anything, but I love how the referee didn't even play the 3 mins added time - especially when over a minute of that was taken up by the goal. Happened against Lyon too when we were all over them...

Seven points from six games is just awful, we were seven points off qualifying in the end. It doesn't get much worse than that hopefully we can pick up lots of points in the coming few games, we're never going to have a better chance to start climbing the table.

I find it funny that a lot of pundits have said Aquilani wont be the star Liverpool need to replace Alonso. I understand they are different players but it gets annoying when most pundits didn't even recognise Alonso as anything special. Not until his last season and all of the speculation began about him leaving.

Ah well, Darby looked ok but was clearly nervy. That last mistake was, I think, the only bad decision he made. Dossena looked bright and willing, nothing much happened down the flanks really but I think he looked ok.
