I used to feel the same way as you Shark.

The problem is, I really cant see anything at all from the team that I can take as a positive. I really do feel Woy is on his way to doing a Souness with the club. I would love to give Woy time but I really dont think he has the ability necessary.

The thought of him being given the big wedge in January to spend is definitely a scary thought as things stand. The transfers thus far have been a little bit wank.

Even Meireles, who is obviously a decent player, is being wasted as some kind of multi-million pound utility player. Although Roy has hinted in interviews that he had never actually seen him play...so that could be a board room signing.

The others have been average at best (Konchesky) to pretty bloody awful (Poulsen and Cole).

And as Hoolak mentioned above, Aquilani has taken the decent form he showed when we finally got him fit at the tail end of last season with him to Juventus. So that isn't looking too clever a move either.

But I'd be a big time hypocrite calling for Roy's head now.

        - Lucas is not a bad player, he is just not a good defensive mid. We're sorely missing Mascherano in that role. Poulsen is **** and Spearing isn't getting a chance. We looked rock solid against Arsenal in the first game of the season when he played and it's been the only time this season I can say that.

        - As others have said, Agger is our best defender but seems to be 4th choice. When fit he should be the first CB on the teamsheet.

        - Kelly should be playing when Johnson isn't fit. Carragher should be in the middle where he belongs and Skrtel on the bench.

        - Konchesky is a squad player at best, we seriously need a quality left back.

        - The midfield is a mess at the moment, Torres just seems to be on his own for most of the time and we rarely look dangerous

I saw nothing yesterday to suggest that Roy is learning from his mistakes - on paper it looked more attacking but we still struggled with movement and sitting too deep. I look at how Abromovich dealt with the Scolari situation and I think we need to take heed and act now. There is NO sign of improvement and I think we should change it whilst we still have a chance of getting out of this position. New owners, new management, clean slate. The problem is who?

Chippy and defensive after the game, he ended his press conference in a sharp exchange with a journalist from Scandinavia who questioned the lack of supply to Torres.

'Are you from Denmark?' Hodgson asked (he considers the Danish press too negative).

'No, Norway,' replied the visitor. 'Ah, two countries I never want to work in again,' he said.

There was a rather obvious retort but the room was too polite to go there. For now, anyway.

            Roy you are a fool.

If we keep Roy we will go down. I see it like that.

I don't know who Roy thinks he's kidding by trying to big up our performance yesterday. I know the manager needs to stay positive but he just sounds deluded. We were awful and the only reason we dominated the 2nd half was because Everton were 2-0 and shut up shop like any team (other than Utd ) would do in that situation.

Liverpool dominate possession but they never looked like scoring. Everton were quite happy to let them have the ball as they were never threatened. It was only the first 5 minutes of the second half and the last 5 where Liverpool came alive. That strikes me as showing the ability is still there but not the will (or freedom).

Scolari was mentioned and it's a good example to follow. Chelsea played the worst football I've ever seen (in terms of drive) under him. The players were playing an awful formation, they had all their fighting spirit drained, the fans had booed them off the pitch several games in a row. Abramovic made the change and got in his mate Hiddink who transformed the team almost straight away and Chelsea (and the fans) ended the season on a high.

Admittedly we gave Scolari a longer time than Hodgson has had but he was still the manager we had supposedly been seeking since Jose left (Grant was only ever a glorified caretaker) and we were looking forward to a passionate manager who could bring some Brazillian flair to the team.

Dominating possession is probably a little OTT. It was 56% - 44% over the 90 mins I think.

Why's that then? The man clearly has a lot to learn about managing this club, and he's showing no signs of of improvement. I'd personally have shot of him now, based on the fact that he's a Hicks & Gillet era appointment, and that he looks lost. Totally and utterly lost.

And I want shot of him before he continues draining any semblance of confidence from Nando, and makes out like he's the problem. He's not. It's Roy's god awful vision of football thats scuppering the teams confidence.

Well, I've always been against sacking managers during a season and a big advocate of giving people time.

If come the end of December we're still in the ****, I would hope he is enough of a man to hold his hands up, admit the job is too much for him and walk away.

I admire your principles SSM but I think waiting until xmas could be a disaster.

I'm similarly minded, but this wasn't ever a manager who was appointed to take us back to the top. He was meant to steady the ship, but he's making an utter balls of it so far. He was always a stooge as far as I'm concerned. He's said all the wrong things. Hasn't said the right things, and generally just looks like a man absolutely thrilled to be here...without ever knowing what he's actually doing there.

I think if he loses against Napoli or Blackburn it may well be curtains for him anyway.

I'm fairly confident Napoli will tear us a new one.
