He's a different kind of player than Morientes. He has pace and added flair to his game. That makes him potentially better than Kuyt also. If he turns out ****e, then fair doos, but let's support the player and the team first

Morientes was 29 when he joined.
He was too old to adapt from the softly softly approach of European football.
torres is young and he is hungry.
I hope he succeeds as if we can get a 25 goal a year striker we will win the league.
Although
I personally would have bought Bent and Malouda with that cash...Comment

His goal scoring record is pretty similar to Samuel Eto'o at the same age. (Eto'o scored a goal every 2.7 games compared to Torres with a goal every 2.9 games).Comment
