Much better, and the players seem happy. We pretty much took control of the game from the start and Stoke only had a couple of chances in the game.
Suarez looks class even this early on with his neat touches and quick vision of players around him. Dare I say it, but he looks like he'll fit the way we will play from now better than Torres would have.

Really pleased for Luis tonight. It's early days of course, but it was a cameo full of promise. Looks like a lot of intelligent movement, technique and hard-graft in his game, which was really good to see.
Wasn't sure about the 3-5-2 setup tonight, but it seemed to work - nice performance from the team all-round. Defence still needs improving, but at least the back line look more confident.

More than a hint of Fowler in the way Luis Suarez moves. He actually looks quite slow in general, but with a little 3-yard burst that Fowler had just to nip in front of people.
Kuyt has had a scruffy sort of a season, but the guy is still a hero for me, a proper old school football player.Comment
