It's never nice to see home fans boo their team off and admittedly, it isn't the Liverpool way. But, it has to work both ways - the players have to give the fans something to cheer about in return for the support.
Besides, I think the response from the stands was more frustration than outright malice.Last edited by Nu-Eclipse; 04-10-2007, 12:32.

When the team are down & playing poorly, that is when our support is needed the most no?
I understand the fact that football is traditionally a sporting contest, but I?m afraid the money that is involved now (and in turn the hideous amount clubs charge fans to watch and buy merchandise) means that it is now seen as an entertainment business.
In buying a ticket you are contributing towards the players ridiculous wages ? and therefore I think you have every right to let them know how you feel (as long as it?s at the appropriate time ? such as the final whistle like last night).

Hey, the season feels very different now eh?
I kinda wish Kuyt had got a red for that "block" as he would surely play Crouchinho then. I wonder if we should try Babel up there too as it is pace we are lacking atm imho.
What do you guys think of Stevie atm. he seems to lack a bit of confidence recently hope that sorts itself out. looking forward to Alonso back but we NEED Agger I reckon. He steps out and has a little pace so stiffens us up a lot.

He was seen as a bit if a risk and was left at home - to be honest we should be beating sides like Besiktas without a full strength team.
Loads of huff and puff with zero cutting edge, Babel at least gave it a go (never a winger though) and Benayoun came on and tried to make a few things happen but it was all too static. Kuyt and Voronin both try and play in the same spaces, far too similar in style to play together I think.
Sami Hyypia: at the start of the season I wasn't really buying all the "he's way too slow" comments...but **** me, he is way too slow.
