Nice to see the club are offering upto 4 free tickets for under 17's when an adult pays for a full price ticket for the upcoming Utrecht game. Shame I'm too far away for some midweek travel too. I'd love to visit Anfield again.

Yeah, it's easy to be cynical and say the game is pointless and they've probably sold feck all tickets, but it is still a decent gesture.

There's been a few empty seats at the lesser home games this season, you might as well fill them up with local kids for free.

Eh, is this Ronaldinho thing really happening? Reports from Italian press is that he will take a wage cut. To be honest, if he does take a proper cut, I'd have him in there.

Realistically, I imagine him to go to the US and make some money or does he want a place in the next WC squad? Crazy links.

The idea that Christian Purslow gave Hodgson a list of players to sell is crazy. The way Purslow was using the media to brief against Rafa at the end of his reign would also explain how the all of the rumours came about during the summer about certain players leaving.

Persistent rumours of Lucas and N'Gog leaving, for example, during the summer would have caused the club serious problems had they become true.

Torres back after a slight rest and a very good central midfield pairing make me confident for today's game. I'd like to think the team are capable of beating Newcastle at any time. My only worry is that Woy sticks Cole in the team somewhere, Kuyt and Maxi have given the team good service recently.

I did. Pardew's first game, 4-4-2, even down to Barton scoring (what was essentially) the winner was as predictable as a broken clock. We're on the worst run of away form in nearly 50 years under Hodgson, and it's not changing anytime soon.

A lot of players all over the park had bad games tonight, it was a bit of a mess overall. Bit fed up with despite that we still managed to create a decent amount of chances, but all apart from Kuyt's, all were simply limp or wasted. Torres still can't be arsed.
