Those are some dodgy quotes. I was always reticent about Hickette coming in. We'll be OK though. Maybe Stevie will get dropped from England and be rested for us! Wonder if McClaren wishes he hadn't done Wes Brown a ridiculous favour and had Jamie available on Wednesday. I think we should all be aware that Wes Brown caused this for England!

What exactly has Wes Brown done this year? Besides being part of the best defense in the premier league and not playing in a single match where england have conceeded a goal?

He has been rubbish as usual. He came on and made loads of errors for England against weaker opposition that were not punished. He still played ****.

If you are happy with him, keep him. I think he is an average player that has been given breaks all the time cos AF said a long time ago that he was the best CB in the country or some such bollocks and so he got picked. And stayed there.

Good performance today I felt. Good movement and some slick play. I am liking a bit of Lucas action too. Torres is very good off the ball, and his dribbling is excellent but he needs to fnish - he got away with it today but he must've had five GOOD chances todday.

How would you feel if Rafa was replaced by Mourinho? Rumours such as this are flying around today. I think it wouldn't be a too bad thing getting someone in who didn't rotate as much as Rafa has done.

Mourinho? Maybe, if he kept his 'chosen one' lines to a minimal. I think having him on board would turn us into a hated club though

It seems to be unrelated, but this has got out of hand, and if it is true, this is very very worrying..

It's not the Bascombe piece in that rag. But I have heard two slightly different things from two mates who are usually very reliable in things they've let on about in the past. But both are pointing to the same thing. The only difference being the timeframe.
