meh a Man U loss today would probably be better for chelsea...

But we're not going to put up a challenge so I want man u to win purely because I don't want Liverpool to be in with a shout for the EPL.

Amazing. The Season is far from finished and there is still lots to play for. Strange timing from the Chelsea board.

Wow, didn't see that one coming. I suppose the days of sense and level headedness in football are things of the past; it seems that being a couple of places below where you think you should be is enough to get a manager the sack these days. Giving him barely more than half a season is just nuts.

They still have the Champions League to play for too, which any top side has a decent chance of winning even if they're not flying in the league (Liverpool 2005 springs to mind).

The current Chelsea team is more or less the same one (on paper at least) that pushed us all the way in the League and European Cup. Their fall from grace has been spectacular.

Who would want the Chelsea job? The pressure and expectations that comes with it is unbelievable.

F*cking hell, two managers in one day!

I'd imagine West Ham fans are a little concerned by these developments.

Sacking him one week after the transfer window closes is really odd timing though.

Excellent news. Grant was mediocre but Scolari was just bad.

Cheered me up a bit now.

                        *edit*

We really didn't look like we were going to win anything under him. Could you have seen us winning anything without extreme luck? The fact he wasn't given much money in the Jan window when we clearly needed new players was evidence he wasn't expected to say long.

According to my dad on Saturday, the boos were incredibly loud. He didn't have the support of the players, the fans or the board.

So's the wage, and the inevitable pay-off.

Always thought he was a bad appointment being so long an international manager,it was clear that he was struggling with the every day hands on and needs of a football club and keeping a squad of Chelsea,s massive ego maniac players happy on a week to week bases, unlike international football which is not even month to month hands on at times.

Although tbh this job is a bit of a poisoned chalice, poor old Grant was working with a sword poised over his head, and Big Fill has had no time at all really. Has he had that much money to play with? Most managers need time, something big spending clubs don't give, which often leads to more problems.
