Spain have been incredible. It seems they saved there best performance for the Final which is quite remarkable against a good Italian side who are being made to look ordinary because not only are Spain doing everything right on the ball but off it too.

Credit to Italy, they're still having a go and not giving up. A little bit more luck and maybe Di Natale could have got one. Doesn't look like it'll fall for them though.

Bugger, looks like Italy will have to play with ten men. Not their night. Poor Motta.

Indeed, for all the Spanish skill, they work their bollocks of too.

Italy are a very good side, by normal standards, but Spain have defined their own standard.

Pel?-era Brazil (1958 -1970) are just about the only side who can compare with this current Spanish generation (2008 - )

Having won World Cups in 1958, 1962 & 1970, they would've surely challenged for the 1966 World Cup with better protection from the referees.

Holland was best against spain. Criminal performance is sadly the only way to have a chance. That spain had villa, puyol..

That's a shame, four is a bit harsh on Italy considering how hard they worked to keep it down to two goals when they only had ten men. Awesome from Spain though.

                  Agreed.

Prandelli deserves enormous credit regardless - his team have exceeded expectations during this tournament, and played good football while doing so.

The Italian FA need to keep him, but I feel that he might choose to go back to domestic football.

His only mistake was the Montolivo sub.

Very harsh if that is a stick used to beat him with.

Again, his team were barely expected to get out of their group. they have over-achieved considerably, and played attractive (some might say "un-Italian") football in the process.

                      He deserves nothing but credit.

Hes a great coach, but bringing a defensive player in, who was semi-injured.. i didn't get it.

They still not as exciting as brazil, probably a pity thatgermany went out, think they would have scared Spain a bit more, poor italy though they had a good tournament but they looked tired tonight?

Been bored of Spain this tournament, can't argue tonight though, deserved.

Such a pity Motta went off. Until then it was a great contest that Spain were rightly leading but Italy looked dangerous at times.
Really enjoyed the final for 60 mins.

And yet you texted me a few mins ago saying the injury ruined the entire game!
