Spain have been incredible. It seems they saved there best performance for the Final which is quite remarkable against a good Italian side who are being made to look ordinary because not only are Spain doing everything right on the ball but off it too.

Credit to Italy, they're still having a go and not giving up. A little bit more luck and maybe Di Natale could have got one. Doesn't look like it'll fall for them though.
Bugger, looks like Italy will have to play with ten men. Not their night. Poor Motta.

Italy are a very good side, by normal standards, but Spain have defined their own standard.Last edited by EJG1980; 01-07-2012, 20:09.

Having won World Cups in 1958, 1962 & 1970, they would've surely challenged for the 1966 World Cup with better protection from the referees.

Holland was best against spain. Criminal performance is sadly the only way to have a chance. That spain had villa, puyol..Last edited by saturn-gamer; 01-07-2012, 20:24.

Prandelli deserves enormous credit regardless - his team have exceeded expectations during this tournament, and played good football while doing so.
The Italian FA need to keep him, but I feel that he might choose to go back to domestic football.

Again, his team were barely expected to get out of their group. they have over-achieved considerably, and played attractive (some might say "un-Italian") football in the process.
He deserves nothing but credit.

Really enjoyed the final for 60 mins.
