Anyone else get this email with regards to ordering pro evo when it was incorrectly listed at 14.99


Dear HMV Customer

I am writing to you with regards to your order for the following item:

Due to stock limitations, we are currently unable to fulfil this order. We have
contacted the suppliers, and they have informed us that the initial supply of the
Xbox version has been scaled back across the UK, and we are unlikely to receive
further stock for at least 4 weeks after launch.

Please accept my sincere apologies for this delay. We will be fulfilling all orders
for this title, and are working with the suppliers to obtain stock as soon as
possible.

Sounds very fishy to me...
how about loads of people now cancel their orders then they don't lose any money on them. Everywhere else online has it in stock.
Hopefully once they realize that most people don't want to cancel it they might actually ship them out.

I would have put this in the bargains sticky topic but as the codes only last til Monday (24/10) I thought it was worth it's own thread. Less chance of it being buried and people finding out once the offer had closed.

I asked if I could have a coupon to go pick up the game from my local HMV and was told this -

"If you wish to purchase the item from your local store, you would have to pay the full price of ?34.99. However, if you do this, if you then email me details of the Store you purchased the item from, and your receipt number, I will arrange for the price difference to be refunded to the credit card submitted as a method of payment for the order via the web site."

Well chuffed, never got round to playing JSRF. Seems to be a new print too, has a Psychonaunts video on there.

Iirc, the Psychonauts vid has been around forever; certainly original XBox launch time. I think it's on that naff dvd demo disc with the kids with too many eyes/ears (and Alec Empire on the soundtrack) that was out years ago...
