I am totally in love with this game! The first two dungeons had some very clever puzzles but trying to work out where to go next is even harder. Ezlo is never any help although seeing him sleep with Link was just too cute! Best game i've played in some time.

Same problem I had, same problem many people seem to have had: it's one of the few flaws in the game. Even if you've played a Zelda before and you know you have to trawl from one dungeon to the next, it's never been as cryptic working out exactly how to get there.

Which, is the marmite part imo. I loved having to figure it out and not being told how do to it. Makes a change from SOOOOO many other games I could think of

Agreed. In fact, I spent half the game loving the fact that I just about managed to work out what to do next to get where I wanted to go, and half getting frustrated about how stupid I was for not working it out earlier.

It reminded me in some ways of LTTP in that regard: when the whole light/dark thing was new to me, I just couldn't figure out what I had to do, and it was a revelation to find that the two landscapes were subtly different, that you could access areas in one that were impassable in the other.

But there isn't anything to work out, the world is tiny and the marks are on the map. The flaw comes in the game not demonstrating item use on things in the gaming world, just in dungeons (where they look different).

Okay, case in point here. Trying to get to the third dungeon? Did you figure out how to solve that puzzle without having to go look it up or not? I figured it out... eventually. After I'd remember a certain someone.

I had my doubts. Like everybody on here I've spent a stupid amount of time in Hyrule in the past, but unlike most of you this is my first 2D Zelda adventure and my first RPG on a handheld (playing on the DS). These two things could be influencing my opinion but the fact that this game is getting most play out of all the quality title I got over last mad couple of months speaks volumes.

Just finished the Fire Dungeon and about to head back to Hyrule Town to spend some of that hard won cash. Its been tricky finding where to go but I've not resorted to looking stuff up on the net yet, just tried everything until something worked. Seeing how characters from past 3D Zelda games have been represented is a constant joy and bring memories flooding back at every encounter.

Who here didn't buss a huge grin the first time they used a toadstool? Roll on lunchtime!!!

Yeah, its a top title, and looks even better when played on the DS screen.

Oh man!! Lurching around like a mad mix of Frankenstein and Wolverine wearing the

                    Mole Mitts

                    is just too much fun.

Made the mistake of getting involved in all the side quests for the towns folk, I can't leave until my peoples are happy now. I've got so many shells that I could spend hours getting the figurines - man that's strangely addictive.

To allow me to continue my heroic quest I have been forced to become a librarian!!!

This game is still completely awesome.

Sorry to bump this but I'm stuck and need some help.

I have just got the Big Boss Key and I'm in a room near the end of the Ice Dungeon. Its a square room with a few of unmovable blocks dotted about and two long streams of fire are moving quickly round the walls. I imagine I have to kill them to get the door to open but how?

Anybody remember? Managed to figure the rest out but this bit has me stumped!

Spag - I think this is where you are, but apologies if I'm off -

Isn't one of the blocks moveable? It should make all the blocks a symmetrical pattern on the floor.

Completed it last night. Ended a bit suddenly and I didn't like the ending that much but overall a very solid Zelda game that bodes well for future releases. The dungeons had a nice variety to them, the overworld was interesting and the new toys were fun. Now to get back to LttP which just seems a bit drab by comparison.
