Yeah - i get the 'time shift' on my saves when i played Sons Of Liberty (USA) for some reason it seems to be on Japanese time zone

I'm not too sure about the tiredness thing. Though there are certain factors that make snake tired quicker:

    ----------BEGIN SPOILER----------
leeches, running, crawling, stalking, rolling, and when in the mountains. I've probably missed a few.
    -----------END SPOILER----------

      Anyone else here think that...

the fight with The End is the best boss fight ever?

I dunno, I just totally boshed it.

I accidentally found him and suprised him, he ran off, so I just followed him and sneaked, ripped him up with a shotgun

        Now the boss fight with

.. erm, The Boss - that *is* one of the best ever, dramatic, emotional, and stunningly beautiful.

The time shift phenomenon is weird though

In terms of setting and atmosphere, no question.

            Spoiler:

Kojima also pulls another head twist just after that scene when the flowers turn back from red to white again, indicating that they changed colour based on Snake's interpretation.

Which raises other questions in the game with regards to his interpretation of events. We're only seeing things from his perspective - And it ties in with the relativity theme The Boss expressed. That's precisely why I think those flowers have to change colour - To make us think where else Snake's interpretation may have 'coloured' events for us.

It's also an idea explored in MGS 2 - Albeit far less eloquently in my view.

Finished MGS3 this evening (got the jaws rank I think). Nice thinking by Konami to put a save point in the middle of the ending.

What a fantastic game overall. I'll like to go through it again sometime - but take it slower and be more patient. Not by using cheap tactics on the End and running through some of stages with hordes of soldiers on my tail

I've just this minute saved and it thinks it's 5am tomorrow... ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

I held The End up about five times and he never gave me his moss camo. What's the deal? He did, however, give up his Mosin Nagat or whatever the hell it's called, which is cool.

                      to get the end's moss..

hold him up.. point the gun at his head.. point it away.. point it back... do this 3 times till he wriggles around and drops the camo

After I finished it, I had a look at GameFAQs at the hidden stuff, in case there were important things I had missed and needed for the review (up soon, fact fans), and saw something pretty ace/clever:

Holding-up one of the guards (I think) makes him spill some info: a password for Metal Gear Acid! Nice one, that ^_^

Yeah the password is also a referance to

As I said earlier in the thread, i'm

a big fan of ZOE and Anubis >_<

                            . I know, i'm a dirty, dirty boy

Somewhat predicatably, I'm doing much better second time through. Only been spotted once and that was cos I messed up a cqc move, and the only people I've killed so far have been Ocelot's boys and one guard (because of another b0rked cqc attempt). I'm enjoying it a lot more this time. I always prefer games after you've got to know them as opposed to when you first meet them (great analogy ).

And Treb, I enjoyed ZOE 2 as well

                                so...

I saved my game during the battle with the end, and i came back today (3 days later) and instead of starting into combat, it loaded a cut scene where snake was sleeping, and the end shoots him, and says something about sleeping on the job...presumably flaming me for daring to leave the game for 3 days, then a soldier came and carried my body away, only to awake back in the cell in the laboritory. wtf... guess ill have to treck back to the end.

wonder if similar events can occur during different situations ??? damn you hideo
