I think my computer is only USB 1.1 and so is the cable. Will this effect it? I didn't think it would.

Hmm... My computer didn't recognise it at first, but when I asked it to check online for the right drivers it found it no prob. Running XP, SP2 like yourself. And the only difference USB 1.1 will have is slower transfer speed.

If your computer can see it you should be able to get the drivers with the new hardware wizard, so I'm not sure what the problem is mate...

Me neither. It's been a year since I last installed windows. maybe the time has come to start over again.

The ebayer is called dslinkercom, and i got it for buy it now $270+$30 P&P. I got it because i bidded for it and the higher bidder than me backed out
