    That car is ****ing ace!

Anyone tried b-spec mode? I'm currently 13 hours into a 24 hour race at the nurburgring. I am in first place, 6 laps ahead of 2nd place. 140,000,000cr will be mine!! Wonder what car I'll get.

You can set the simulation to run at triple speed, so it ONLY takes 8 hours. Although every pit stop resets the sim to real time. Never will I spend several hours of my life in GT endurance races to get to 100%. I might do some for a challenge, but it's nice knowing that I don't have to. I am currently playing PES4 on xbox while Mr.BSpec earns me cr

I think I'll be finishing the pro hall now

How good is the driving when you set it to B-spec? Do the other cars start to gain?

Not really. It's typical GT AI for the normal drones but your guy reacts a bit different but does still show signs of being "one of them". It's a bit frustrating at times. I set it to do Laguna Seca in one event in an over-powered Nismo-tuned car but it lost, coming in 4th.

Seca is fairly narrow in most places and it couldn't get past this Mercedes, hogging the racing line. Now, everytime it went to overtake, it'd get within inches of the Merc and than slam on the brakes, losing **** loads of speed and thus dropping back from the back. Rinse and repeat. It wasn't until the last lap it managed to bounce past him 'cos the Merc got tangled with the guy in 4th.

I played the same event and overtook everyone by that second corner, off the starting line XD

When you enter a race - no matter whether A- or B-Spec - do the other A.I. car?s performance still depend on your own selected car?
So in case your car is heavily tuned, will all others also be tuned to the same degree?

Pretty much, yeah. Same class of car-ish. But it is still easy to rinse 'em

Woo hoo! I just finished the professional hall. I needed to win a few endurance races to get a suitable car, b-spec sorted that out.

At the end of professional you get the coolest video.

It's a real life run of the nurburgring shot from a helicopter.

For winning pro I got this car, oh yes.

Having been inspired by all this fawning, I went back to GT3 again yesterday, while I wait for the UK release. I'd decided not to bother with it previously, as I didn't really get on with GT3 very well in the past.

This time, though, I took my Logitech Driving Force, and bolted it to the dining table properly, rather than my usual use of the lap rest. Cleared the two license tests round the circular skid pan first time, when I'd never managed to even get to the end (at any time) previously. All of a sudden, everything makes sense...

Mind you, I've still yet to get a single Gold on a license, because I'm crap.

On saying that, it all depends on the kind of event you're entering too. Like, for example, if you're racing in Nissan's events for the 'Z' series, there is nothing stopping you using the LM car while everyone else will be using crap ( ) versions of the same series. 1 A-Spec point for winning.

I think I'll still a GT4 gallery on my website, just like every other geek on the Interweb

With the A-Spec points it makes sense again that you can chose a more powerful car to compete with the A.I. (and as a result earn less).
But what can you do with those points? Is it like the "currency" in GT4?

                          Comment

I've not found a use for them yet. Bragging rights as far as I can tell. Although maybe some later events require them.

It is handy when you start a race though. For "1 POINT" read "GUARANTEED WIN!!".

i'm only on 8.5% so far.
i've done quite a few of the 'special condition hall' races. you can get loads of money and some really nice cars from winning those, plus i really love the 'aria' and 'amalfi' courses. it feels so nice zooming around those tight streets.
i've still yet to finish all the beginners hall races though. i just bought a suzuki cappucino to use in the lightweight and spider/roadster sections, but you cant tune it up at all. so even though i love the car, it might have to stay in the garage.
