r0ssco: I think the older Logitech wheels are around ?40ish on ebay so it might be better grabbing one of them, they're good quality. Certainly better than other wheels.

R0ssco: nope, for all the wrestling you need a decent surface. If you don't have one, just get DIY on it's ass. I refer you to my earlier post: http://ntsc-uk.domino.org/showpost.p...&postcount=335

          your not alone, don't worry

One thing I did notice is that licence tests don't count towards your overall completion %, they did in GT3.

I just went straight into the Beginner races with my Skyline 89' and won a few, gonna attempt the Licenses at some point though.

I'm spending more time watching replays and trying to get great photos than actually racing or doing licences.

Must have spent the best part of an hour last night watching my Silvia S15 driving round and round and attempting to get a nice amount of tyre smoke in the shot when drifting around corners.

The odd thing is that i'm not even particularly into cars but i just love watching them in this game. Loving it.

Anyone had a go at the GT world championship yet? By God are those races difficult! Ah well at least there's the photo mode to ease the pain of defeat, these are few more of my finer selection:

The Zonda race car in particular is truely outstanding .

You mean at the end of the Pro hall right? I found it tough going too until I used the GT Formula 1 Car I won from the 24-hour 'Ring race (B-Spec'd alot of it but did race a fair few laps too). It outpaces the competition marginally but is better through the corners and accelerating. You can only use medium tyres but I found the AI cars pitted around the same time as me anyway. Most races I won by 10-30 seconds. Just be careful of them trying to slipstream on you on the big straights early on in races.

Forgot to mention, it's definitely worth qualifying (Practice) to get Pole. Makes it much easier to get away and give you some breathing space.

Cheers for the tips mate , I think I'll try to get the F1 car then, or maybe the Toyota GT1 road car is that any good?

Yep the GT-One should do the job just as well, if not better!

I paid 4.5m for it, slapped in a stage 4 turbo and it flies! In fact, you can probably ignore pitting altogether if you use Super Hard tyres on it, which is where it has an advantage over the F1 car.

I'd just won the F1 car so I wanted to try it out. But, if you don't have it yet, but do have, or can make the money to buy the GT-One, use that for sure. The 1141 BHP should see you home

EDIT: OK, anyone know why my GT-One (Turbo stage 4) goes absoulutely mental when trying even the slightest turn when travelling at 220mph+? Just messing on the test track and in the straights it's fine but on the corners if I so much as tap the d-pad it oversteers and does a flying donut.

How did you accumulate so much money? Re-doing the 250k prize rally?

So is the original Logitech GT Force wheel the one to get then? Bar the new ?100 GT4 version of course.

My flatmate got a GAME branded "speedster 3 forceshock" wheel today and I must say I'm impressed with it. Is the GT3 Logitech GT Force wheel still better than these newer no-name ones and does it support the full blown force feedback malarky in GT4?

First championship in Japan pays well and only needs a B Licence

(5 races, 7500 for winning each race and 75000 for winning championship and a great Fairlady Race prize car (600+hp) - not bad for about 30 mins work)

PS Can a Mod cut down SS's link please, hate scolling horizontally to read whole posts
