Those pictures are awesome r0ssco. I especially like the first and last ones, good job.

I see you went for the good old skyline. I have a nice blue one fully tuned and it absolutely flies. Its especially good with those soft tires I couldn't believe how fast it could go round corners with those on.

I can't get on with the DualShock for Gran Turismo (3 or 4) at all; what little I've played without the wheel just wasn't any fun. And when the actual driving experience in GT isn't fun, there isn't a lot of gameplay to back it up. So I'm really glad I've got my wheel.

I love that 3rd pic, Rossco; I think I'm going to have to attempt something similar with my Elise for a Windows backdrop.

As for licenses, I've just got a B so far. 5 Bronzes, a smattering of Golds and the rest Silvers; just making a couple of runs on each one until I was satisfied I'd got the basics of each test down - some of the Bronze qualify times are so lenient on B that I passed even after royally stuffing things up, so I made myself re-do them.

I am so used the DS I have no problems with it. My favourite passtime seems to be taking cars out on the Nurburgring.

I'm afraid there are six, I only found out about the last two yesterday however if you didn't get them don't worry, they are only standard cars:

One of them is a Renault Clio V6 Sport edtion
While the other is an Honda S2000

Nothing to cry about if you didn't get them tbh . However if you do really wish to get them all six cars re-appear in the same places every 654 days.

Actually its every 700 days. I got the 4 Le Mans cars on the Japanese version.

I'll have to finish listing the low mileage used cars on the PAL version. The low mileage cars are effectively new so there is no need for a chassis refresh. I am up to about day 200 or so. I completed the list from the American version of the game the other night.

I stand corrected, though it's 694 to be completely precise (they then disappear exactly 6 days later), they're tight buggers when you think about it as you can only buy one car each day so you have to get it perfect, buying them one after the other with no time to do anything else what so ever.

The cars are there from days 694-700. The whole used car cycle then repeating for the next 700 days so their next appearance would be day 1394.

When they first appeared on the Japanese version I had plenty of money saved to buy them and made sure I was not in the middle of a championship at the time.

The biggest problem I had was with the low mileage cars on the American version of the game. One week there were 16 of them! After taking copies of the game in the PS2 Browser I eventually got them all onto one save!! Trading is useful though it does not make the car available in the arcade.

So there are loads of really good bargins to be found in the used garages on certain days I take it? Hmm, it must take fooking ages to get every car in the game, how many have you managed to bag so far Bassman?

On a side note my B-spec driver is very much my bitch at the momment, I'm leaving practically all the endurance races to him, I just can't summon the energy to do those races anymore. Is anyone else finding the lure of B-spec too strong?

                      lol

I don't think any sane person would want to sit down and tackle the "24 hr Nurburing race" in A-spec mode.

Any car experts care to help me out with the name of the orange car (looks like a kit-car) that is shown a couple of seconds from the end of the intro movie and where I might find it in the game?

                        Comment

If i'm not mistaken and if you're referring to the orange two-seater roadster, it's the Caterham Seven FireBlade 2002. It's a english maker.

By the way, what's the more real Nurburgring, this one or the Project Gotham Racing 2? The GT4 one is a little narrow, it's the real track like this?

                          Comment

Well, when the credits role you see some footage of a driver going around the 'ring and it looks far more like this game than the super-wide Project Gotham version.

I'm not entirely sure though tbh.

I'm pretty sure the real 'ring is quite narrow. Narrower than PGR2 for def anyway.

I saw a video of the complete 'Ring and the GT4 one was pretty accurate.

I had every car in the Japanese version of the game so that they were all available in the Arcade. That made for 708 cars in the arcade Unfortunately there were 710 cars in the game because the Fiat Panda and Sileighty did not get there. The Panda is in the Arcade in the PAL and American versions but the Sileighty still appears to be missing. For some reason it does not appear in the Nissan section.

I have an American save with most of the cars on it (2 or 3 missing) but they do not appear in the Arcade though at least the cars are all zero miles.

The Caterham Fireblade is all very well, but you can't enter any Series or Championships in GT Mode with it. Same with the Prowler.

The cars to look out for in the Used Lots are the ones with 6.2 miles on the clock with higher prices than the high mileage examples unfortunately. I remember seeing the Honda NSX Type R '92 as a low mileage car sometime in the first 200 days.

I will try to get the PAL low mileage car list posted before the weekend.
