I`d been mashing the buttons thinking it was helping but I`ve come to the conclusion that it does bugger all!

Correct me if I`m wrong people but I don`t think button mashing helps one bit.

You're right, it doesn't do squack. I used to do the same, but then I'd just leave the controller alone and just wait for him to get up when it suited him. That really irritated me about the game because there were times when you'd get knocked over by a colossus, it takes you a good 20 seconds to get up, and just as you are doing so, the colossus rams into you again, and so on until you actually die.

Go into a crouch and roll as soon as you can to avoid further punishment, ennit!

So is it better to do it through on Normal TA after completing once to get all these extras people are talking about? I went straight onto hard mode y'see. And I really fancy getting into this again since everyone in PAL land is now loving it again!

I have taken down 5/6 collosi in the last two days with my mate watching on (he didn't want a shot, didnt think he could do it ) and he loves it now too, hopefully he'll buy it!

The trick is to save two end games from both normal and hard, so you can access both time attack modes when you complete the game. The extras on Normal are fairly interesting

                especially the invisibility cloak.

The ones I've read about for Hard sound even better. The reason I've not properly started Hard Time Attack mode yet is because every time I intend to do so I end up playing the main game and drowning in it's heavenly atmosphere instead.

If you do it that way Concept that implies you can't get all the extras within one save... is that right?

I don't think it's possible to have all sixteen items in a single save together, as eight are separated for Normal and eight are separated for Hard. Since you can't choose to switch difficulty with a save after completing a game (you have to start afresh) I believe it isn't possible.

I've got to get around to putting some time into this.. Got so many other games (and real life things) going on at the moment I've only very briefly looked at it..

That's all very well and all, but what do you do when you're just getting up (hence you can't even crouch yet) and the beast smashes into you?

Not getting stomped at the moment... happened way back in december by two of them. Don't remember the numbers, but I think 11 and 14

one which was afraid of fire in a temple of some sort and one the charged around some garden place knocking over columns. Both looked pretty similar.

Oh yeah, that type is a right bitch when you get cornered by it! I remember getting pretty bashed about by it - taught me to stay out of its way
