Gamespot gave LCS 8.6 for those interested. Review here:

Not every critic is the same. Metacritic offers aggregated game reviews from the top critics, and our own METASCORE pinpoints at a glance how each game was reviewed.

They seem to have decided on a re-direction for their scoring system over the last few months (i.e to view 5.0 as 5.0). It reads like a fair, and more realistic review, than others elsewhere.

I still think Gamespot's review was slightly based on the fact that they weren't given access to a copy to review unlike ign etc. Apparently gamespot have problems with publishers allowing exclusive reviewing rights to magazines/websites who aren't gamespot.com (bet they wouldn't if it was them who got the exclusive reviewing rights)

Alternatively, those who were given exclusive rights before everyone else may have been only allowed to do so if they gave Liberty City Stories a certain grade (9 or higher?). Gamespot could quite have easily not wanted to follow that path, and refused early review code so they could review the game properly without having to base their words around a pre-arranged score.

            Idealistic and unlikely, I know.

Yes, same thing happened with GTA3 and Edge iirc, thats why Edge gave it a low score (7/10 i think), and then a few issues later, printed that there was a typo and it should have been 8/10.

              All this videogame politics!

Odd, Toca's version of EAC lets you convert MP3's. Yet GTA's doesn't. Bet a bit of messing with file extensions yields some results...

Anyone up for giving it a try? I don't have a PSP to hand, or oddly enough, a copy of GTA.

I dont think it will, not 100% certain but I'm pretty sure that you have to have the same region game.

You may be lucky but I think the general rule is that they don't mix. Especially Asian/English combos.

So does this game requires a firmware update? If so, is it to the same 2.00 that's been available for a while? The one that's exploitable to downgrade to 1.5, should you want to play homebrew again somewhere down the line.

From reading what people have stated on other forums, yes it does require the update, and its standard 2.00 which can be downgraded later.

But the firmware on the UMD is like 2.01 or something but I think it still says 2.00 so dont use that one as its supposedly impossible to downgrade from that just now so download 2.00 from a reputable source, ie- Not Sony!
