No don't, really don't. I can't afford even one PSP right now, let alone another one after I destroy the buttons crazy boosting like I did on no less than three seperate DC pads.

It's easier and cheaper for me to get a UK one, but just want to be sure it will work on my machine.

      Cheers
I got a US PSP and just recieved my UK copy, and it works, no problem.

Great game so far, I can see myself spending whole days playing this. Only criticism so far is the trailing effect (gives me a headache) and camera control while in vehicle (im so used to R1+L1 to look back).

Great news about a UK version working on a US PSP!

Thanks for clarifying that for me! Cheap UK version here I come!

Also a bit pissed that simplygames didnt send me the 72 page handbook. Thats the only reason I bought it from them. Could have got it for a tenner cheaper if I knew I wouldnt get it.

Have a word with them, a tenner is a big deal really. Are those trail effects in the options to disable them? I hated them in GTA3 and VC but thankfully you could turn them off.

I'm not sure how much of it is an effect and how much is ghosting from the TFT screen and quick movements. Either way, there's no option. You get used to it pretty quickly though. Minor flaw on an otherwise stonking game. 8)

Someone needs to edit the topic title by the way, there's a missing 'City'!

Shame they're not "offable" but that wont stop me bouncing about my shop tomorrow waiting for the city link van to arrive.

I have no idea what the handbook has inside. Just saw simplygames giving it away with preorders, and no-one else offering it, so decided to buy it and see what its about.

Emailed them just now to see why they hadnt sent it.

Found my copy waiting for me when I came home from work tonight.

I've done a couple of missions but have spent far more time just cruising around on a motorbike re-aquainting myself with Liberty City.

                      So far so very good.

                        Wow, this is amazing!!!

                        Like proper unbelievabley amazing!!

Played about 4 hours so far. About 2 on multiplayer with a guy in uni. First of all:

The game itself is technically amazing. How they managed this on the PSP is just crazy. Loading times are perfect. Couldnt have asked for better, radio stations kick ass, the city looks ace, the cars look even better than before. The missions are typical GTA missions which is great, the story is still all there, lots of cool cut scenes with the typical GTA comedy too which is also there in the radio stations. Found myself sniggering away quite alot on the bus today at it.

Then theres the multiplayer. Words cant describe. Amazing. Just stunning, I dont know how they managed this!

I only played 1 on 1, the kind of deathmatch mode, but it was that good we never bothered trying another mode.

I thought with 2 people it might have been a bit boring and stuff but its not, its great fun! Really new and fresh. We were sitting on the train playing, rolling about laughing and screaming, everyone looking at us thinking we're nutters. Was great fun!

This is going to be in my PSP for a loooong time!

Well I was gonna post my impressions up... but rossco mcqueen has done it for me, not tried the MP just yet but as soon as I turned it on I was in anti social mode, totally absorbing and has potential to be my favourite handheld game.

                          Bravo, rockstar.

I have only played about half hour of this game, but I have to say one thing:

How on EARTH has Rockstar done this? It is graphically almost, if not on par with the console versions of GTA. Absolutely unbelievable!
