After a bit more play last night Liberty City is starting to open up to me. Seeing the train going along over head

I went on my own mission to get on board and ended up in a motorcycle race along the tracks above the houses.

That's was pretty special. Stealing a bike parked round the back of a building lead to

    an on-rails shooting mission

, getting sidetracked by all the jumps too.

The only glitch that I've encountered - apart from sinking into the floor a couple of times, is the brief freeze when flicking through radio stations (which I automatically do in the hunt for The Liberty Jam). Its minor tings but just jars with me a little,

Yeah the fact that they crammed a living breathing city into the PSP is amazing but what's doing it for me is the handling of the cars and bikes. Totally spot on!

I'm still training myself up in the use of the analogue pad, but it's definitely getting easier. The first few times in a car I was all over the place.

Unlocked the next island last night. And still cant believe they got Liberty City onto a PSP!

As spag has said silly glitches like freezes between changing radio stations and when I crash full speed on a motorbike.
Although a few days ago the game did crash but it might have happened cos I dont switch it off, only put it on standby, luckily didnt lose too much on the save.

That freezing when accessing music seems to be a common thing on the PSP. SSX, among others, has it too. Some games like Lumines don't seem to suffer from it but perhaps that's because the likes of GTA streams so much from the UMD that it's harder to anticipate where the next music selection will be. Lumines had quite a fixed order on music tracks.

Spag have you managed to do that 'Wong side of the tracks' side mission? Everytime I attempt it I seem to lose controls on one of the straights for no reason and fall off the tracks.

I've still not done any of the story missions, just exploring and getting my bearings. I like how some of the buildings haven't been built yet. I was having a look around the docks trying to see if the car collection mission is there, only to find the framework of an unbuilt warehouse Also there's a construction site and the company working on it is called 'Final Build'...nice little developer joke there

That 'Wong side of the tracks' took me about 1 hour non stop trying to do, i ended up putting the control method to d-pad and did it. But rock hard it is. I learnt you dont need to drive through the yellow marker so just try and sit on the side of the arch bit in the middle and ride on that.

I've give it another try later on. Do you get anything cool for completing it?

Also has anyone done the Noodleboy mission? I got to the first guy with plenty of time to spare and then the fool wouldn't take his damn noodles! And now I can't remember where the Noodleboy scooter is.

The noodle scooter is in chinatown, or just right by it anyway. Its hard to describe where but it's outside a food place by chinatown. I got to level 6 on noodleboy and accidently caned all my noodles on one person, then i couldnt be arsed I dont think i got anything cool for passing the wong side mission, just satisfaction and a bit of % on the stats.

Played about 10 hours or something now and still only 10% in!

                            Its just magic!

And about the songs causing the game to freeze a bit, Burnout Legends does it too!

You know the mission where you have to crush your bosses car? I boxed it in with trucks and then rammed it with the coach until it exploded. I was actually surprised when the 'Mission Failed' came up - Duh!
