The nub on my white PSP has more resistance than the nub on my black PSP, making it easier to control. I don't know if this is the same for all PSPs. But, yeah, not trying the D-Pad option before selling it seems a little hasty.

I tried using the dpad, but that just doesn't feel 'right'. Also, I'm using a Ceramic white PSP, not a black one.

TBH, the nub was the dealbreaker. There are other things I'm not too happy about (camera, controls in general, gameplay a bit samey etc.) so just not for me I guess

I came into the Grand Theft Auto world late with GTA:Vice City so Liberty is very new to me. Just got an email from a mate who has played GTA3, currently playing GTA:LCS and has made this claim:

There's a sniping mission on GTA3 where you have to take out the Mafia Boss. The PSP has exactly the same mission, in exactly the same location, but you have to protect the same boss.

If that's the case then I may need to play GTA3 when I finish this and look out for stuff like that - very cool indeed Rockstar

Guys I think I suck at this game. I can't even rescue those guys from the petrol station (4th mission?). My car keeps getting blown up.

          Any advice?

That was quite a tough one as far as I remember and unfortunately the only advice I can offer is try to go as absolutely fast as possible and hope you get lucky. Remember to run as many enemies over as you can - if you can do this on the way in, do it. On the way out just try to get clear as quickly as you can.

              * Eliminate all threat surrounding the area.
              * Do not drive like you're colin mcrae
              * If the police get involved get to the pay'n'spray but dont let it get to you, just get there quick and calm.

thats my advice. edit: Which looks like is the total opposite to Doggs

I ran over the cops on the right hand side of the entrance on the way in, and went out that way and headed to the nearest Pay & Spray.

Is this the one where the cops chuck out the tyre busters? If so, I just took my time and waited for the police to get near and nearly stop and drive around them, on my way to the Pay & Spray.

The faster you drive with your tyres bust, the harder it is to control.

Yep, total opposite! But if it works then that's cool. I'm a speed over precision man with GTA but then the different options and personal style are all part of the fun.

First time I did that mission I ran all my men down and killed them

Was aiming full speed at the cops blocking the entrance that I couldn't stop in time -splat.

                      ****ING HELL!!!!

Played for about an hour or so today, havent saved for a while since I usually just flick it onto standby and I'm mucking about on my bike, doing stunts and looking for hidden packages when all of a sudden "Health Cheat" appears on screen! I must have pressed all the right buttons in the perfect order to do the cheat which seems like a billion to one chance of happening and now my save game has been ruined, it even warned me before saving not to as it could ruin the game and my criminal rating has went down to -318 'Dishonourable'. Now I need to do all that again!!!!

                      Found like 10 packages too!!!!

I found the hot wheels mission to be the hardest so far, and Im only about 3% in. Once they pop your tyre, its so difficult to control your car.

ouch rossco thats a nightmare situation, but not to be smug it makes me realise i need to make 2 save files and alternate.

I just did the mission where

you need to rescue salvatore from the boot of the car before he gets crushed

. After completion i went to save it only to get the dreaded battery is drained icon... i just walked into my hideout too!!!
