Yeah it's an absolute corker - It's a pity most people (including myself initially) have passed it over. Colonotronic Arts indeed

I gave up getting golds, but it was stuck in my 360 console for a good month being played over titles such as PGR3!

Definately topped PGR3 and PD0 for me, PGR3 has now gone on to pastures new while this will not be traded till the sequel with live play

I honestly think that Amped 3 is one of the top 5 games available for the Xbox 360 so far because is is so damn playable and refreshingly exciting that I haven't experience since SSX Tricky, which was way back in Christmas 2001!

I wish the developers could do a big (wishful) update on this game and give us one big new mountain like Northstar, Snowbird or Valle Nevado plus enable the game to work over Live as it is missing from the game so much it hurts. A few more challenges wouldn't be out of question too!

This game is wonderful and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Received this from Play on Wednesday - for ?17.99 it is a complete bargin. There is so much for your money.

I'm a huge fan of the series but I have to confess to being slightly disappointed that they've toned down the controls so much. Amped was all about the feeling, the subtle movement and the smooth landings. Amped3 has automated most of the game - particularly landing - which makes it more accessable but less satisfying. The game rests between Amped 1 & 2 and SSX, which doesn't quite feel right. I wish they kept with the controls from the first games, though I understand they needed to open it up more.

That said though, the game is so addictive. For the last two nights I've just picked it up quickly in order to try things out but ended up playing for hours straight. I started playing yesterday just to get the Park Builder achivement (which is the easiest achievement ever!) and ended up playing all night. Managed to unlock the third mountain.

Have 'Owned' the first mountain and about 30 golds so far...also got all the other achivements such as 100,000 points on sledge and 10k on snowmobile. And, of course, park builder which takes about 30 seconds.

I dislike all the fluff in the game, such as handglider missions or sledging, simply because they aren't implimented very well. They do break things up though, so aren't a huge problem.

The trick system is massively cut down from Amped1&2, but actually has more depth than first meets the eye. The 'Style' moves are perfectly done and require more restraint than you'd think, particularly when trying to rack up points. Some of the challenges I dislike, particularly the Kitty ones >_<

Struggling with the Owning The Mountain stuff too - is there any way of knowing where people are? The first area of Mountain 2 requires you to impress 200 people, but I can only find about 30!

It's a shame Indie Built were closed down after making the game because it just oozes 'fun' and they've clearly enjoyed the process. I can't get over the fact it isn't like Amped though

I picked this up pre-pwnd from Gamestation the other week and I have to echo everyones comments here. It's great value. Don't think I've laughed so hard at a game in a loooong while (boxing in the original Money Ball was the last time I think!). Great fun. Still a long way to go before I get all golds though (only on the 3rd mountain!)

I keep meaning to pick this up, Play.com are sold out though, anywhere else I can get it cheapy cheap?

Picked up a copy from VG+ for twenty-odd quid delivered. It's not 18 pound but it's definitely not bad for what is a top game. US/Canadian version is region-free BTW.

Finished it 100% today, a most enjoyable ride

Some of the challanges were real biatches though - Magic Circles and Kitty Cleanup I'm looking at you!

Shame there weren't more Snow Quest challanges, really liked doing them!

I got this the other week from Play and although I enjoyed it for a few days it got a bit too frustrating. I think I was trying too hard to beat it rather than play it. This is my first experience of an Amped game and although I know I will go back to it shortly I found I enjoyed 1080 a lot more.

Picked this up yesterday in HMV for ?12.99 (subsequently found it is 9.99 on theire website so it will be going back to the shop once the cheaper one arrives)

Have to say I'm really impressed.
Sure its showing it's age at a year old in terms of what it does graphically vs what the machine is doing now,eg. trees in this vs trees in say Tiger woods but that doesn't detract at all from the gameplay.

I completed COD3 on Sat and sat back and thought what do I get next that's going to interest me beyond simply dragging my way through a game in search of Achievements, there has to be more motivation than that.

This is a nice break from the FPS or driving games and although takes half and hour or so to get used to is a nice relaxing good to look at game

I've had this for couple of months (thanks to HMV's ?13 offer), and only spent about 30 mins on it so far, like you say nice to take a break from FPS, racing games etc and enjoy some relaxed gaming, plan to get into it properly myself sometime this week.
Seems there's absolutely loads to do.

I went back to this a couple of days ago after a long absence to finish off the story mode. I'd forgotten what good fun it is. Given that it can be picked up so cheaply now I hope that those who haven't tried it will be tempted to give it a whirl.

Made me want for an Amped 4 with an online multi-player component.

I think you dudes have persuaded me to hunt this cheapy down. It was certainly a very smooth and cheerful game when I played it at VP's house. Loved the way that when extra weight or force was applied to the board, the snow spread further out from it. Neat
