I far as I could tell, the face off events, where you are having to keep up with a npc's tricks, all give you better abilities. Know what you mean about some events not giving you any prizes - I want better boarding clothes!

Before selecting the event you can see what the prize is in the info screen on the map screen

But you don't always win the prize, even if you get a Gold award. Any ideas why?

No, wow thats odd I always get the prize regardless of the medal

I'm pretty sure on one event I got at least a bronze, but on the map it's showing no medal. Can't remember if it awarded me a prize though.

I am really getting into the trick system on this now, its superb. It's great that the developer has lightened up the controls, its made for a much better game imo.

I am currently addicted to impressing the required amount of people in each mountain region. Great fun And some of the challenges like the kitten litter are nails on Gold - took me a while to get one of them earlier!

The Kitten litter ones are the most evil ones in the game, those and a few of the magic circles ones on the later mountains. EVIL

I managed to pull off a 450k combo last night with ease, so I think that 1 Million point combo is definitely achievable given the right piece of mountain to carve.

One of the mountains you just drop off a sheer rock cliff and bounce off rocks all the way down, its really easy to get some insane combos on that part without even really trying

Yeah that's where I did it, I think it's the third mountain. I hadn't even realised I'd accumulated that much it was so easy

I didn't even try linking combos with a butter for absolutely ages, you can just get some insane scores, the trick is to build up a massive mulitplier by doing loads of flips and ground tricks before you go off that bigg cliff.

got this game, im impressed its not in the same league as PG3 or CoD2 interms of polish although it certainly is fun :P

One thing iv noticed is the amount of original xbox logos, kinda suggests what it was originally built for. Apart from the draw distance Im in two minds about the graphics (im not a graphics whore, honest ), im sure that amped 2 looked this good (although i havent got my original xbox at uni to compare).

I've not noticed any Xbox logos as of yet, but I've seen references to Amped 2, so yeah maybe some of this content was intended for the previous game or a new title in the series.

Currently on the fourth mountain but I've not tackled any of the story missions as I returned to the earlier mountains to get the impress bystanders achievements. The last few missions on the 3rd slope were great, love the whole Electronic Arts piss take.

I got on the 3rd mountain last night and wow you can really get some high scores on there half a million combo off the 2nd section of the mountain!sometimes you just seem to do everything right, on one of the kitten challenges though snowballs put me right off, I did wonder, if you do do the full impress people bit on mountains do they stop pelting you?

I just opened Act 4, and I am loving this, its fantastic!!

I am not sure about the snowball throwing Angelx, but its certanly off putting at times. I think they only tend to do it when you get in the way and don't do something cool. It seemed to work that way for me.

I only ever rememeber their being like 2 places where it happened alot, perhaps you have to impress them or something, maybe that puts an end to it?
