Only complaints would be the LOD popping, and the lack of races.

There's never been any racing in the Amped series, just like there hasn't in the Tony Hawk games...it's all about the tricks!

You'll notice the LOD popping more once you do one of the hang gliding missions. It's certainly noticable, but when you look at what the game is doing it's not too bad.

Certainly still very impressive. LOD popping seems to happen on a lot of 360 games at the moment; at least it's not as bad as CoD2!

I get the game's about tricks, but races would just flesh it out. I like messing around on the slopes, you can take your time and it's pretty relaxing. But the option to race would be cool.

Especially on some of those sleds

While it's being mention, the hang-gliding is pretty painful, the control is really bad.

I've not had too much trouble with the grinding challenges, my main problem has been getting enough points in the grinding Media Callouts. Can't work out what I'm doing wrong, so any suggestions are welcome.

Just change the grinds a lot with different button combinations. I think it would actually be easier if it wasn't in slow motion but hey ho. b and y together seems to get a lot of points for me. Hope that helps a little.

Thanks for the advice. That's pretty much what I've been doing, but I'll try sticking to those two buttons. I'm trying to complete the "Black" challenges now I've unlocked them, and just can't get the points in the grinding sections.

I picked this up yesterday, I'm quite impressed, the presentation of the game is fantasic.
From what I've played it has the tony hawks "one more go" syndrome I'm liking it.

The little videos and stuff are pretty funny too

Borrowed this off a mate on friday and just got all achievements for it. really good fun the best in the series for it's pick up and play but still with a bit of rock hardness in there

Loved the retro style it has, with the mario, zelda and megaman piss take videos.

Great gun, I underestimated it because it doesn't look next gen. 14 hours well spent.

story challenge where you have to grind along the tree branches for what seems like forever. Shame some slowdown crept in, but most enjoyable nonetheless.

The best one for me was the FFVII piss take. They got it absolutely spot on.

Finished the story now (slightly disappointing last challenge, but the final cutscene was hilarious) and working through the other achievements. This game still has a lot to give.

Really enjoying this so far. I wasn't a huge fan of the last Amped as I hated the control system but this is miles better. Currently on the third mountain and it just gets better and better

It is really quality, Its almost worth buying just for the crazy videos.
I couldn't get along with the other games , but the more tony hawks stlying of the controls was alot easier for me to get on with.
I was kinda suprised by how quickly I managed to finish it (3 days with every acheivement) too many of the gold medals were way to easy to get.
Best thing is I traded it in and got ?3 more than I paid for it. quality

This game should not be on shelves but in your 360s! to miss this is criminal, very much a mix of ssx 3 and the better Tony Hawks games, I too tried amped too and found it a bit dull, The same cannot be said for this, its totally bonkers but actually funny with it unlike the last few Hawks, the controls are pretty great although I've had to find out how to get the more advanced tricks out of it myself. Once youve mastered the simple but many controls it becomes much easier. There are 2 player sections in this, Look for the shaking hands symbol events (I think!?) and it asks you to press start on the second pad. What baffles me is the book saysy play anyone anywhere on live and on the back it mentions 2 player co-op! Even without multiplayer I will enjoy this thoroughly. Those smash yourself to a pulp runs are funny, I got the score Great! youre practically dead

Put this on earlier for a quick go and ended up playing it all afternoon. Did an excellent trauma event where I had to rack up a 30k medical bill...ended up with a 150k medical bill in the end Great fun.

I was just reading GameFAQs to find out what all the achievements are and noticed you can unlock a helicopter by performing a 1,000,000 point combo! I think the most I've got is around 50k.
