Got this midweek and love it so far more DMC3 is always a good thing. Even though I've got access to vergil I've been playing as dante mostly as it's nice to have a new dante and power him up all over again. The gold continue system is for me worth it for the SE alone as I've been playing the US release with the yellow orb system and it makes practise that much better. I like the bloody place mode so far and it a great way to perfect your combos. I've only encountered the jester once so far but I think he is an excellent addition to the game. I've only tried vergil briefly but I like how he plays so differently to dante. Capcom have actually managed to make my favorite PS2 game better well done.

Have you master him with royal guard yet? I've only played Vergil so far, and Jester 3 is insanely hard. Havent fought him on DMD yet, but even on Very Hard he still kicked my ass

this has been answered, but every single cut scene viewed with either Dante or Vergil can be viewed at any time in the mission select page when you load your game, a new option is available called Demo Digest that allows you to select any cinematic. that among other little tweaks, like Saurian was saying, make this game a must own if you liked the original release. Capcom has definately gone up the ranks in my books, cant wait to see what they do with Devil May Cry 4

wow, no one has posted nething here for ages so I figured that alone was a good enough excuse. If anyone has played/or is playing through w/ Vergil on DMD, Dante 2 is insanely hard. I had never got past Beowulf w/ Dante before the SE came out, so everything past was new territory for Vergil. Neway, long story short, after like 4 hours, I finally managed to beat him without using any potions, and yes, I get hit, Im not that good...yet. neway, if you havent fought him yet, you have a hell of a battle to look forward to... enjoy

Played this for most of the evening (started from scratch with a new save).

had a great time also defeated vergil pretty quickly (~i am really getting the hang on the block/countering now)

Also very satisfying whe you fight the doppleganger and hit his projectile back to him

Yeah I've got it - I sat there and broke each of the 3 fights up into individual parts and learnt them in order. The fight builds up, tagging extra parts onto the ones that already exist so it's worth starting from mission 5's fight and working up.

I love this fight so much, the best bits are parrying the all-direction blast of fireballs at point blank range with roll parries - I love rolling Dante around Jester like an electric ball absorbing the plasma he throws out, it reminds me of Psyvariar! XD
Another bit I love is parrying the bit where he thrashes about the stage on top of the ball, even the part where he jumps up and down is a perfect rhythm so you can parry the lot.

I use the fireball/ball sections for parrying only, the only time I attack is after making him tired by forcing him to teleport - then I let him have it with both DT and RG Releases.

Very Hard Mode is incredible! The fights during the stages are exactly what I've been waiting for! Hoardes of enemies with high HP but without DT so you're free to absolutely SLAUGHTER them! >=} - I would have preferred the Dante Must Die boss fights instead of the very slightly faster version of Hard Mode you get, Dante Must Die is still by far the best mode for boss fights and it's STILL getting better!

That appeals to me getting a fair practice on the enemys without them dying to quickly also being able to juggle them easier.

Any movies on very hard mode?

I honestly didnt notice the difference from Hard to Very Hard, for me I think its the same as the US version normal and hard. On the SE, 'Hard' was my 2nd playthrough with Vergil, and I was still getting his moves down, so I actually found it harder than Very Hard, which I burned through it in like 5 or 6 hours. DMD is where the real combos start. What I love about this game is that each difficulty presents a new learning curve, and you have to play at that level of difficulty in order to succeed, I also love how each character tackles DMD in their own unique ways.

in terms of movies, check back soon, I'm almost finished one that will blow every DMC3 fan's mind!

sry dude, but they're arent any new levels, the same levels as Dante, just new char, thats all. When you get to lvl 7, you dont even fight Dante, u fight Vergil with a red coat. but all in all, its the same challenge, which is what I love about it

To the millions of DMC fans around the world...I got a lil' present for ya.
ok, I cant believe I managed to finish this 2nite! and I know its huge, but I tried coding in Divx, which produced a 50 meg file, but the quality was so ass it wasnt even worth it, this version is Mpeg-4, and is 87 megs, but trust me, its worth it. Latest Divx is a must. Real PLayer should werk provided you have the rite codec, or VLC player will play it for sure. Enjoy.

the real credit for this music video goes to Majin Steve 87, as he is the one who made the original video, 'The Siezured Frieza', http://dragonballarena.gamesurf.it/ if anyone hasnt seen this, the style is completely copied, same song, and almost exact same effects, except his was done with DBZ. Im telling you this because I want ppl to understand this isnt an original concept, nonetheless my original idea. My goal was to see if I could take such a great idea as a foundation and make it into something that was my own. All in all, my best music video yet. Had some great footage to werk with, so I appreciate all the werk the DMC3 cinematics crew has done. THis is a tribute to their hard werk.

Gave the bloody palace a quick try think i shall have to power up the characters a bit for that (hope the reward at the end is worth it)

Getting used to playing as vergil now i find the spinning swords very handy also the teleport i am getting the idea how to use it well

I'm getting it now but as I'm at work I'd need to keep it muted - probably best to wait until I'm home.

The file was a bit too large to run properly but from what I could make out its a video of lots of cut scenes put together with some sort of colour effect used here and there. Didn't want to watch it too closely to avoid any Gerbil story spoilers but I guess I was expecting some actual game play kickoff.
