Broly - Can I carry orbs I have earned into a Dante game if I start it after I finish normal mode with Vergil? Would be great now that I dont need to spend any more orbs if I could just use them all at the start of my Dante game. Cheers.

Suppose it will be good re-discovering Dante and since I wont be buying any orbs or anything it should't take too long.

That Gold and Silver option is new isn't - didn't get the choice of starting from where you died on the version DMC3 I played O_O Makes learning the boss fights much easier I'd imagine.

Yeah, gold mode is awsome, especially for Royal Gaurd Practice

And going back to a fresh Dante after playing Vergil is amazing!!!! so much fun
Dont make the same mistake as I did though, when playing with Dante, and you go to save, it'll automatically go to the last game save slot, so if its your main Vergil save, like mine, kiss everything good bye ft:

yeah man, i was pissed, lost about 30 hours of gameplay. It was just after I had finished DMD with Vergil. but thats ancient history now, I recovered and got even better. That was when I switched permantely to turbo mode, and never looked back. Thats actually a good way to switch. Once you beat normal, switch over to turbo, and then start hard. It'll seem like everything is in slow motion at first, but then after a few hours, if you go back to normal, everything will feel in super slow motion!

Aye the gold continue system is such a great addition for us PAL boys, the number of times I cracked up having to go through bits repeatedly when I knew the Jap version folk were getting it easier... its a level playing field now though

Was thinking about doing that, first mission with one then with the other, but I think I'd get too carried away with Dante - really missing being able to hover. Playing the pad like a guitar with Nevan equiped raining down lightning is as good as it gets Using the enemy step meth to just stay up lording it

Yeah you got that right. Mind you the yellow mode "puts hair on your chest" which to an extent is true, espcecailly at the beginning when you suck, and you really got a lot of practice in working your way to the boss. I remember when I first started DMC last year, just to get to Cerberus was so difficult, but as I kept doin it, I got better.

But if your playing DMD, and just wanna practice your RG timing, its kind of annoying to restart the lvl everytime you die, or waste precious money on Yellow orbs

I do miss Dante and look forward to being reunited with him but Vergil is putting in a good show just now so am happy for now. At the end of the day the love is with Dante so cant wait to get him sorted out again.

Yeha, I remember the first time I used Swordmaster after using Vergil for about 50 hours I think and was blown away by aerial moves all over again. Vergil's just a side show, Dante's the main attraction, so its only natural that he be more versatile. But like you said, Vergil does put on a good show.

I find that I go through phases, one where I really like Dante and cant be bothered with Vergil, and vice versa. But i know for sure that after all gaming with Vergil, lvling up Dante is gonna be sick.

Thats probably one of the best features of the game. going thru hard more or something with a fresh start, buying all the upgrades and slowly getting stronger and stronger. Just typing that out now is bringing back memories of my last fresh play thru....ahhhh good times. Im sure Vergil is giving you guys quite a rush as well, slowly getting all the moves until you're godly. But I think Dante is more fun, just cause there's more to do, u got 4 styles to lvl, 5 guns to upgrade, 5 wpns to upgrade, etc. Luv this game

For the past 3 days i've had it, yes.

I'm still very much getting used to it, especially with Vergil - I'm not really playing for story progression at the moment, i'm just trying to train myself in maintaining SSS style rank.

Dante isn't too much of a problem, but even while switching between Vergil's three weapons to mix 'em up, I still have problems even hitting SSS.

A technique that I love to use for getting to a quick SS is to Star Fall into a group of enemies, then jump above the largerst cluster and Helm Breaker down into them. Trick down, Taunt and charge up Round Trip, and if u hold down Tri as soon as you press taunt, Vergil should finish the taunt while the move charges up (sword turns green) let it go, then switch and charge Jug Cut while he's Throwing force edge, and let em have it.

Another good trick is to buffer the Spiral Swords, then release it into Blistering Storm [R1+Back+Sq.], when u hit square to release the storm, hold it down, and buffer a 2nd set of swords. If your amongst a group when u do this, the style meter should go thru the roof
