    Everything from Outrun2 is in Outrun, you can even play it in original 'Outrun2' mode if you really wish.
    It also has everything from Outrun2 SP, but the real point is the Coast2Coast stuff.

      I've been playing using the GT force and it's superb! It feels perfect to me. Make sure you turn the force feedback up in the options menu because otherwise there is no feedback. The second option down has the GT force settings btw.

        Cheers mate. I can't wait to give this a try but I was concerned about traversing my way around the options.

        Can anyone confirm whether the game asks if you want to switch to 480P on bootup? I was pretty sure it did but can't be certain. It provides an option in japanese then when you choose the option the screen mode seems to change then it gives another question with a 15 second countdown. I'm presuming this is asking you to confirm you are seeing an image.

        Also, just checked out the BGM section of the showrrom and there appears to be 4 extra music tracks not found in C2C. One is an original composition called Lift Me Up and the other are remixes of Passing Breeze, Splash Wave and Rush a Difficulty subtitled as SP. Remix

          When i run Outun C2C on my PSP at a higher clock speed, it doesn't just appear smoother.. it also seems to run noticeably faster. Is this the case, or just my eyes deceiving me

            It does after it asks you to load your game, it's the 2nd option down.

              Can anyone tell me what is in the menu and options are in English.

              Also how to do drifting with steering wheel. Which buttons do I need for drifting.

              I use PS2 Japanese version. Good conversion Sol so far.

                Awsome. Thanks for the heads up lurch!

                Lurch....does the game let you map the buttons to any function you want? If not, which button is each function mapped to? Gear change = ? View change = ?

                Also does it let you adjust the steering sensitivity like the other versions do? If so, which sensitivity setting do you prefer and why?

                  I got the anniversary edition yesterday from PA, but I have to say I`m reliving the Outrun love via my htpc, esp now that hda have sorted the soundcard driver problems,throw in the 360 pc dongle. Joypad works a treat - kinda tempted to go for the 360 wheel.

                    You can't configure the controls at all you can only adjust the force feedback strengh so you might be screwed if your using a Driving Force EX.

                    Using the menus with the original GT Force could've been alot better because the triangle button isn't mapped to the wheel so you can't change the BGM type or switch to Outrun 2 mode, although you can plug a controller in to do these things. I haven't tried it with a GT Force Pro because my one is broken.

                    Here are the controls for the original GF Force (from memory):

                    MENUS
                    A = accept
                    B = cancel
                    X = nothing
                    Y = start
                    Peddles = up/down
                    L + R (paddles) = nothing

                    GAMEPLAY
                    A = nothing
                    B = pause
                    X = pause
                    y = nothing
                    L + R (paddles) = change gear

                    I don't know why Sumo didn't keep the same layout as the arcade, it would've been perfect.

                      I have the original Driving Force(American version of the GT Force) so hopefully it wont be a problem. Those mapped functions appear fine to me, but wait a minute...

                      no view change function? I don't see it listed above.

                        You drift like you would with a pad, gear change(s) or controlled brake/gas use

                          I'll check this with the OutRun2SP team. I figure it's the view change button that does the music and mode swap in both cases (same as the arcade), but I'll need to find out which button they mapped it too

                            I forgot about that, I think it's the Y button.

                              Just had an hour with this using the GT Force. Absolutely outstanding. The sensitivity of the wheel although not customisable feels almost perfect to me and I'm able to hold the angles perfectly on those long sweeping corners. Force Feedback seems a little weak (and I did turn it right up) but a minor complaint overall.

                              I've got 4 versions of this game (Xbox, PSP, PS2 PAL and PS2 JPN) and have to say the japanese PS2 release when played using a wheel is the ultimate home OR2 experience.

                                Just checked it here on the GT Force Pro, and it's the Triangle button, which is the same as view change. Which means it should be the Y button on yours?

                                You can only change the mode and music on the specific screens mind. Choose OutRun2SP mode (first choice on the main menu), pick a car, select the gear type, then pressing Triangle or Y on the following screen should swap between OutRun2 and OutRun2SP modes. The name on the left should change to reflect the swap.

                                Same again on the next screen, pressing Triangle or Y should do the same trick for the music.

                                This is the same as the Arcade BTW, that also uses the View Change button to switch sets.

                                If it's not working for you, I can only really blame it on the wheel, though given Y is switching views in game, not sure what that's all about. I don't think the wheel supports customised controls...? Only other thing I can suggest is to make sure the wheel is connected before booting the game up, as there is some handshaking code run at boot.

                                BTW, if anyone is looking for it, the Force Feedback setting is the second choice down in the options menu.

                                Hope this helps!
