Outrun 2006: Coast2Coast

There's no guide, well not so far as I know.

For OutRun2SP PS2 they asked for a purely Japanese version of the game, which is what we've delivered. Bear in mind it was intended for Japan only, so I don't think it's unusual in that respect, especially since it was the last version to be delivered.

On the Gremlin photo above, we don't think that any of them work here, but given the age of the shot, it's hard to tell :P They are probably a lot less hairy now

Probably the wrong place to ask, but is Outrun XBox ever likely to work on the 360? I can't help but feel that MS have given up on the whole backwards compatibility thing :/

Yeah, it's a bit poo. I blindly bought Coast 2 Coast and PD Orta last month thinking they should be BC supported. Now they both sit awaiting their call off the bench. Though Coast 2 Coast is scared he might not get a game seeing as I recently got the PS2 version of you Geoff

They just issued an update a few months back which included fan favourites like Psychonauts and Shenmue 2.

So they haven't forgotten about it, they clearly just aren't putting many resources into it's development.

SOL why there is no english language option as you could easily put that in. Do Sega have a specfication guide telling you what you can do and can't do.

The Japanese version has alot of english in it and I would say it's very import friendly. The only parts that are completely Japanese are the options and saving menus.

That would be a Sega question really. Also even if I did know about one happening, I wouldn't be able to tell you. NDA's and all that!

I'd like to think there would be more on the way, we have a lot of fun doing them at any rate.

You usually leave a little clue in replies to questions like this, so I'll assume there isn't a new console Outrun planned for this year at least.

Got JPN OR2 SP this morning. Only gave it a quick spin through but overall it did look sharper that the PAL C2C (although this may be because I was running it on my plasma in 480P as opposed to the CRT I used recently for C2C). Seeing the volcano erupt at the end of the race was a really nice touch.

Not had the chance to use mt GT Force wheel with it yet unfortunately but I plan to do so on Monday when I'm off work and the house is empty.

I finally want to pick this up, but I'm having a hard time finding it on Xbox. Amazon have it for £25, pah. But no games shops within 20 miles have a copy on their preowned shelf. It's sad to see the Xbox shelf reduced to a small hidden corner of the shop... but anyway.

Does this game totally replace the need to own Outrun2? Every review mentions how it has the 15 original courses too, but they never say in what *context* you can play the 15 original courses. Can you play regular Outrun mode with the original courses?
