not much is ever said about sales figures but this is currently number 1 on the amazon sale rank for games - which can only be a good sign, seems rockstar knew what they were doing after all

Just walked all around bham city centre and no joyGamestation were the only ones who actually admited they had it in stock but refused to sell it to me. Everywhere else either quoted the release date or denied all knowledge of it
Oh well eh! (not like im at work tomorrow anyway, so trip to Game tomorrow morning seems likely)

My biggest rally sofar was 49 and that was bloody intense as hell!! Its sooo good when two of you are in the green focus zone just smashing hard spin shots across all sides of the table to each other! So much fun. Cant wait to get on Live with this tonight, and we can all get some 8 player tournaments on the go!

I'm a newbie in every sense (like most people currently online I guess) but the biggest challenge right now is avoiding moving too far...often happens when lining up for a shot for too long. I used to have a similar problem with VT when I first got it but pretty soon got used to that.
God knows how fast and intense this game is going to be once people really get used to it!

Wow, this game is great fun. There's a surprising amount of depth to it and it's really competitive when you're against a real person of similar skill. I love the way the music starts to kick in as a rally starts going - it really gets the adrenaline pumping as the speed picks up. I doubt I'd pay ?50 for it but it's well worth ?30.

Yeh I think R* has hit the money on this one... Its simplicity belies some real depth.
Its not as hugely deep as some people are making it out to be and its not the second coming of pong, its just table tennis next-gen done absolutely bloody well. I think the Gamespot review nailed it pretty accurately in saying R* had spent the majority of the time getting the gameplay just right and everything else doesnt matter.
I think thats explanation. It lacks a career mode, a create-a-player but in the end it really doesnt hurt the title that much. You really need to be playing this online OR offline against a friend... same as playing Pro Evo or Fight Night, its the competitive nature that makes this a winner.
I'm just glad to report that online its pretty much a winner all round. Havent had much lag issues but when they do appear the ball doesnt lag at all, more the game cant complete the players arm-swing animation in time and skips it. So be prepared to see a ball return before the player has hit is sometimes. Once you see it once you will be used to it... I think I've seen it happen only in one match out of some 25 I played so far.
Also I've had one tournament freeze on me in-game. I could speak to the other player but our players were stuck in time... on 3-3. We called it a draw, reset the game and had another bash at it...
All good.

Good Fun this game, unfortunately my Evil Boris internet connection is pish so online is difficult. I played through some of the single player tourneys, bloody hell playing against that Swede in the last game of the amateur circuit he's brick, unlocked a couple of players and a couple of stadiums.
Only Pro and All-Star left should be impossible...

He has a weakness, he's a ****ing tadge...
The 360 is wired through my media centre which is connected to the wireless router via 3com dongle. It drops every 20 mins or so and reconnects and usually some prick in the house is downloading some **** so it gets even more hammered.
But Ill have me own pad in 4-5 weeks so ill have my own connection up and running through gold old reliable wires
