I'm also a new Rondo-er - I think it's terrific. It's quite unlike anything else I've played on the 360 - looks very pretty when everything is going bullet-hell mental, and from what I've played seems a very deep, challenging game... however...
I haven't got the slightest idea what's going on! Are there any guides to help?

i've gone back to this after not playing it for a week or so and i got my ass handed to me in story mode
even on very easy the bosses still destroy me
in particular there is one boss that you fight in a red sky over a city. you have to blow off each of it's legs as he fills your face with bullets.
i can hardly do any damage to him. i managed to blow off a few of his legs but then got killed, repeatedly.
i can't seem to dodge bullets from bosses quick enough. i think it's because i'm new to these types of games that i'm sucking so hard.
any of you Rondo-ers (thanks to cavalcade for the name) got any tips?

Coming in here like a wet behind the ears imigrant hearing the promised land is within
Bleeders clued me in on this and have to say having known ZERO about this game this morning I am now as excited as a kid at Christmas for the PAL release in 2 weeksZOE like animations with a 2D fighter control system on the 360... its like something I would dream up and then dismiss as "Nah, that will never happen".
I want to get good at this, REALLY good and totally intend on devoting as much time to this as I did to the system in DMC3... I am yours to command Rondo... teach meLast edited by Mardigan8; 22-05-2007, 17:02.

So has English version already released?
As being a fan of Senko no Ronde in Japan for more than 2 years, I'm filled with deep emotion now.
I'm interested in how they ported Japanese voice tracks and senko terms into English. Will their translation of script be good enough?
Anyway,

I uploaded a few vids to Youtube. I hope some of them will be your help.

I got this today from VG+ and have been through the story mode once now. Well it's quite confusing at first, I really didn't have a clue what I was doing, and there's no tutorial mode. There is a training mode, but that's just the usual fighting game affair with a motionless CPU to smack about, but there's no actual instruction on how to play... so I had to resort to actually reading the manual! (first time in years!)
Once I had an idea what I was doing I picked it up okay and it seems like a fun enough little game. I like the 'boss mode' thing, which is pretty amusing. The last level is surprising too, as the game becomes a side on schmup!
Graphics are pretty nice for a Naomi port, and the character art looks absolutely gorgeous in HD. It's all 60fps too but there's no anti-aliasing, and none of the current in vogue pixel shader effects.

I tried this online this evening and the lag was on the poor side but it's still fun, even when being beaten to a pulp by someone far more experienced. Doesn't look like many people are playing though - I only managed to find one game running!
And perhaps it's just my lack of play time with this, but it seems quite difficult. The CPUs are really beating me up badly. I struggle to ever get close to them and they dodge my ranged attacks with ease.
