Aye, both the prologue and introduction to the game are superbly directed.

I'll perserve with it as I enjoyed the demo a lot and Capcom don't often go wrong with the big titles these days.

Well I love it and I knew I would.

Rather upset that it crashed (complete freeze) when I'd nearly finished case 1-3 and had to do all of case 1 again but there we go.

Is it supposed to get that dark as well? I'm practically stuck inside because when I go outside I can't see anything, can't even see the Zombies well enough to walk without harm. Was suprised to see the lights go off inside as well, thats very dark too.

I'm sure I remember seeing a brightness setting, but I can't find it now...anyone remember where it is because it isn't in the options menu.

It not a complaint as such it's just that I'm stuck in the same area the demo is set in because I can't see enough to play it anywhere else, the movie area is obviously pitch black too...the only lit area is the safe area!

AdCook I thought that was just me - Pretty sunny today though but I tried boosting the brightness on my LCD and it didn't help much.

        It's very, very dark.

Agreed, literally I'm stuck in the area from the demo or the warehouse and that's only because I know that area so well.

I can't do case 2 yet and so want to save people but I can't do it because it's simply too dark to get across the park area!

little tip if its too dark

just keep the lightsaber in your inventory (you'll have a pink glow around you)

Yeah but that isn't the problem, the problem is seeing anything at all in the distance.

You'd also need to be able to see the lightsabre to pick it up...

I've just seen my brother play a 20 minute section in the first area.

God it's brillant. Never has a sense of overwhelming odds been so succesfully applied to a game since Halo. Also it's good to see a developer taking the Zombie threat serious again!

Spoilered, just in case but there's no real biggies in there:

In 72 hours mode get the
in the parking lot of the park area, head into the

                  maintainance tunnels

and turn left, mowing down zombies as you go. Go round the square dead end with the [spoiler]vans[/spolier] until the

                  car conks out

                  and then jump into the
. You should be able to do a full lap of the
before it dies - providing you know the layout well enough not to get lost down there, otherwise

Rinse and repeat ad infinitum till you hit the magic number.

Also, if you're particularly brave, grab the

                  convict's hummer

and take it for a spin down there. Lasts longer so you'll clock up a higher number.

Well, gutted to say this but although it's great I can't get on with it. I'll try again but the time system for the cases is rubbish IMO. Really gutted. Saints Row will keep me amused

My view is different. I think the save system makes for a more intense and hardcore experience. The game seems unforgiving with its save system for the first few hours, but I find myself wanting to play it again quite happily to do certain things differently, concentrate on doing certain cases or sub quests. Really enjoying this so far.

I agree Hoolak, it does seem damn hardcore. I don't think I have had to do any re-starting this generation, it certainly takes you back and thats no bad thing.

I'll get more into it when Saints Row is over, take alot of getting used to i think. Seeing all those quests time out made me sad

Exactly. God, we've had it so easy with unlimited continues and saves in the past

                              Just found the Excavator.

                              I think it's clicked.

Had loads more fun with this today!

                                Finished off 72 hour mode

Didn't get the best ending but the fact I got there is a start!

                                Got

                                The Mega Man hat

                                Finally got my revenge on

those bastard convicts!!! Made the mistake of crahsing into a tree near me, and the shotgun I found earlier made short work of them! This allowed me to steal there Jeep, and drive around killing literally thousands of zombies!

Gotta love this game - hardly even touched the main core of the story and already having loads of fun!

Probably level Frank up a bit more before I take on the main story!
