Yeah you can finish 72hr Mode without doing the Case Files, but you wont get either of the better endings. There are about five in total I believe.

I found it best to mess about for a bit, level up, then head into the game. I completed it with Frank on about Level 34, so he was well nails by the end.

Yes, that was one of my less skillful moments in gaming...

When the guy dies and is burning away, I took the photo as usual and got loads of PP points. I chucked to myself as he was still alive, burning and screaming. Then I noticed a fire extinguisher! Aha, so what do I do? "A fire extinguisher!" *runs outside, starts spraying zombies until they are all white*
      "Blokey has Died*
      *Sprays some more zombies*

      Oops.

Hehe, you think that was bad,

I actually tried to save him, but instead of spraying the fire out, I threw the fire extinguisher in his face and he promptly died. I actually laughed at that.

Smash the punch-bags with a hammer for massive PP!!

            About the Punk kid:

He got stuck in the store and I killed him in less than three seconds! Yay! Only thing is one of those stupid bitches died in Paradise Plaza on the run back.

Also - if anyone can complete both 'The Hatchet man' and 'The Coward' scoops please let me know.

Also, I picked up a new chainsaw, not that I needed to like - I just wanted to make sure.

I'm actually looking forward to starting again - if I max out my speed I may start again before the ending as there are only three survivors I'm unaware of, and those probably happen during the last day. 3 scoops in one day isn't going to be hard at this rate. Going for 'The Saint' acheivement! I wonder if I'll get the 'Ture' ending?

When is it possible to do 'Frank the Pimp'? I've not seen an opportunity yet.

Just remember to keep a handgun handy for when a survivor starts getting bummed by zombies. I still tend to wade in with the chainsaws killing the survivor in the process.

I always try and keep a piece on me at all times

                Loved the

Drug Run, my speed levelled up just before it (not sure if it does that for the run or if it was a coincidence). Just made it back in time! Also just as I become invincible with the triple booked mini Chainsaws I got gassed and robbed of everything. Another strange coincidence

Can you still go on rescuing survivors in 72hr mode if you don't bother doing the cases? I'm hoping to complete all the cases and then replay the game but (hopefully) just concentrate on finding all the survivors.

                    Cheers!

I have done them both quite a few times now, in fact last night I was lined up to get the saint acheivement (got the full set and punisher during that run through (34 acheivemnts to date)), but I saved at the wrong time for what I was planning to do, going to go for another run through tonight (I should start writing my plan of action down and then I won't forget a key moment)..

On the subject of the hatchet man,

when you've killed him leave the empty shop alone after you defeat him and go back their later in the day to rescue the 3 survivors stuck there when time is less pressing, as long as you go back for them they should still be alive. I haven't tried going back on a later day yet to see if they are, but I might do as I want to get the tour guide and pimp acheviements sorted out after I've done with the saint and I've been mulling over some ideas as to how I might acheive this.

On the subject of the coward,

give him a sub machine gun to defend himself, take him either through wonderland plaza to the toilet shortcut back to paradise plaza or through the al fresca plaza, entrance plaza to paradise plaza. If one route looks horrendously full of zombies double back and see if the other one is any quiter, sometimes they are. Make sure Frank clears the path ahead if you get grabbed by a zombie then gordon should shoot you free from the zombies grasp.

On the subject of rescues in general,

I give all the survivors who can receive weapons a handgun, sub machine gun or shotgun, depending on what they can carry. i.e. only men can carry shotguns. It makes for some wonderful moments as your group runs and guns everything in sight, I am certain more zombies are present when you have everybody armed, but it just feels better. Just have Frank clear most of the path home with Adams chainsaw and queens for the really hazardous moments.

If you learn who appears at what time and combine rescuing people in similar loacations you will free up enough time to do the missions and the case files.

I would love to do a walkthrough but at the end of the day you have to feel that you have enough time spare to get them all done.

I have Frank maxxed out and don't bother with any juices to do the run through at this level he is quick enough to cover the ground needed and get a perfect game all psychos and all survivors that are meant to make it to safety. Of that I'm certain and I won't give up until I do.

Yes. Although for the perfect ending I think you need to do all the cases and rescue all the survivors and kill all the psychos. Restricted as **** time on day 2 doesn't make that so easy.

                            Ending related spoilers:

To get the 'ture' ending you need to beat OverTime mode which is unlocked by completing the main game with an 'A' ending. The best ending you can get in 72 hour mode is the 'A' ending which comes from completing all the cases, it has nothing to do with how many survivors you save or psycho's you kill.

I can personally confirm that it's possible. It's HARD AS **** because as Fallows says, restricted time on day 2 requires you to take on tasks and bosses in the exact neccessary order and waste absolutely no time getting survivors back to the security room.

However, I would suggest that the only way to do it is with the Mega Buster (no, the REAL Megabuster, not the one that fires tennis balls) - just because you can take out bosses in seconds with it \o/

A sneaky thing I learnt, which works exceptionally well on the Carlito fight (the second one where he has a sniper rifle, and also quite well on

                                The 3 snipers

                                is this:

When fighting Carlito with the sniper rifle notice how he generally stays on the upper right side of that area of the mall, and Brad will run in and out of the sports shop to shoot him? Well run into the shop, grab a few hocky sticks, and then run outside and stand frank behind the pillar, just opposite the entrance to the sports shop. You should be able to see Carlito from here, and if you stand in the right place he can't get you. Next hold down the right trigger to be able to aim the hocky pucks - notice how you stay behind cover - but the stick does not - line up with him and puck the bastard to death!!

As I say this can also be done on the 3 snipers, but you need to stand in the door of the opposite shop for maximum effect!
