an easier way of doing the bomb run in the tunnels :

->Open Spoiler<-

take the bike to begin with (as there`s obviously white bollards blocking the path of a car) and ignoring the marker, head up to the left & follow it all the way up till you get to 2 trucks. 1 has a bomb the other you can use to drive around in its a tough wee cookie (i`ve actually taken carlito out in it by ramming him... much fun !), and if you avoid the zombies with the propane tanks that explode as you drive over them, it SHOULD last the whole way through the bomb run/carlito. if it does`nt just head up to where you found it, enter the meat processing plant, and head back out, and it`ll have magically re-appeared to use once more, sorted.

i found that a little tricky so cheers for the help

i did it by getting to the van then luring carlito into that tunnel where the key is and standing in that doorway. there is an uzi in there so grab that and as carlito tries to ram the doorway, shoot him. after a while he'll drive off and you need to head out the door to the junction and he'll come back. repeat to kill him and do the bombs with one less hassle

after the brad cutscene in the tunnel, don't forget to go back and find him then take a photo of him after that scene for the snuff shot b achievement

I've saved my game with not enough time to extract the bombs.

Choosing not to hide that as it's good advice for anyone not wanting to start again when the end is nigh.

The triplebook chainsaw is almost game-breakingly good. It makes everything pissock and feels like an end-game reward.

Can you combine the 3x bladed book and the 3x engineering book on the Chainsaw? They work on both. I am pretty sure I saw two purple icons on one of my weapons at one point, but it might of just went it worked with two of my books, not that it gave me 6x life.

But how many people would know you could do that? I didn't until you mentioned it, I just used to carry the engineering book and the criminal biogarpahy book.

Thanks to DavidFallows , you can actually carry three books to max out the chainsaws longevity. The engineering book, criminal biography and entertainment books.

The other essential reading is the survival book (double health restoration from food items) from the empty store after you kill Cliff.

Basically my Frank is a wine swilling, chainsaw swinging, maniac. I always carry two saws.

Dressed in full special forces fatigues, boots and skinhead he certainly looks the part.

I've started to carry two mini chainsaws around now mainly because I'm a heavy handed bastard. I was in 'the ****' down the tunnels and I accidentally clicked the left stick down causing Frank to spin around and fling the saw off into the thick of it. Always good to have a spare just incase

Well I just finished 72 hour mode from were I had to stop last night with all the possible survivors saved and got ending "A". I had been hoping that there may have been an ending "S", oh well I had fun trying.


I'll do the overtime mode, and then Frank can just concentrate on those missing acheivements.

Well I took my old copy back to GAME and got it replaced, but I'm still encountering random lockups. I've done a quick search on Google and it looks like I'm not the only one. Has no one in this thread experienced any locks up at all?

Not yet mate, probably the first game not to have any technical issues apart from the ****ty survivor AI and getting stuck in scenery. Sorry to hear that.
