I take your point Jebus, and if you hate it then get rid.

But Pro Evo is a good game and has a lot of depth and takes time to master. So to only give it two hours and then make up your mind seem strange to me seeing as i'll spend 200+ hours over the next year trying to perfect every aspect of the game. If you want to beat every player with the dash and win games 6-0 then knock the difficulty level down.

But i'm not getting at you and i take your point you don't have the time to put into Pro Evo but before you totally gave up i just wanted to big up the game a little.

Well, the fundamental problem of button lag doesn't exist in the offline game, where as it's present in one form or another online.

The delay of the "Power Bar" for example, since there is absolutely no way how to determine how much power you've placed on the ball until a second after you've entered the command.

Defensive problems for me have come from the game switching players even when the auto-switching has been turned off. For example, I go in for a slide challenge using the nearest player to the opponent, only he hasn't done it, the CB has thus leaving him on his arse and the opponent a clear run at goal.

Basically, if you get a game where the button lag is less than a second, then consider yourselves lucky! It's a complete game breaker for me.

Ah, Got ya. Button lag is so crap. In most situations though, you'd hope that your opposition has the same disadvantage as you. That doesn't stop it from being crap though.

Regarding the power bar I'm really surprised you use it during open play. For me at least, I don't see why they even include it. I can honestly say that I've never needed to use it in non-free kick situations. I always learn the required button depress length very quickly.

I've only played Evo 6 offline and I still don't own it but I feel this is the best pro evo to date. Having played WE10 for such a long time I didn't find the big difference or "slap in the face" so many people were noticing at all. Infact, when I first played WE10 from Evo 5, despite having to re-adjust, I was 100% positive about the game from the off and appreciated the differences instantly. I feel the same way about Evo 6. It got my instant approval

Obviously, I'm not happy with the striped down version the 360 has and I've never liked pro evo on xbox live. Other then that, I can't wait to get my hands on this game now I've created some time to actually own it.

Bleeders point about it changing player when you slide tackle has cost me many a goal - Highly infuriating.

I've actually noticed in a few recent games the command lag didn't seem so bad but still I don't enjoy this game that much and to be honest with SCDA online, COD3 online and GOW about to turn up and possibly THP8 this has got **** all chance of getting played.

I'll hang onto it for now in case this uber-patch arrives and things get better and primarily to play with a few mates online but that's it.

Thats just it though Yoshi, its a game you'll put on the back burner and come back to in time. Until next november its the best football on the console.

As for player switching, you can set that to manual in the options... unless I have missed a vital part of this thread?

Even on Manual it changes player the odd time for some reason and even if it didnt the delay between you pressing to change player and the game actually doing it can destroy you as you think are you controlling one player then it changes to another before you hit the next command.

Button lag is the only issue I have with the game. Offline Master League is just fantastic and the gameplay is immense once you get use to the more in depth dribbling, passing and shooting controls. A massive step forward in terms of gameplay, now we just need the live to get sorted and its the whole package

So, without reading the entire thread...is it normal for people to cheat? I'm facing someone who has the "100 matches" won achievement, yet it's my first ever online game and I'm 2-0 up, it's before half time and he's paused it.

The countdown I assumed was how long he has, has long expired and it's still "paused".

Let me guess, he's cheating, hoping I quit?

After filing a complaint, it occured to me...could the game have crashed? But then the console is fine, I was browsing friends lists etc whilst waiting. Eventually quit though because it's really not that important to me to have a win, what a lame thing to do if thats what he was doing.

So, two points I'd make :

1. If thats a bug that crashes the game whenever you pause online : it's a gamebreaker.

2. If its a method of cheating to gain achievements/stats : it's a gamebreaker. Why do the publishers insist on us playing ranked matches to gain achievements? 99% of people prefer to play their mates. Does it matter to the game's creators who we play? They've got our money, don't force us to play idiots in random ranked matches. The achievements are there for fun, the stats within the ranked mode are reward enough for people who care about them.

I find it hilarious you have to play 100 ranked matches yet to gain a different achievement in this game you can just create a tournament with 2 teams, put it on beginner, win and bam, 40 gamerscore right there.

Unfortunately I think you're right about cheating Jebus. I don't know how it's done specifically, but i've been a victim of it on 3 or 4 occasions. Eventually just giving up and letting them have the cheap win, thus leaving me with disconnects to my record.

I worked my ass off to get my 100 ranked wins so it left a sour taste in my mouth. Whatever helps them sleep at night though.

Late to the party, but just wanted to post about my cracking first five mins with this game. Loaded it up today for the first time and proceeded striaght to the online side. Into a match, me Man Vs Barca.
First half was totally one sided to Barca and how it wasn't 3-0 or 4-0 I just don't know. 2nd half and Smith comes on to brighten the strike force. I lose the first goal but claim back a deflected beauty. 3 mins later and I swear the SWEETEST passing moves ends in a walk in goal. 2-1. First game, first win.
Worth the cost of the game already !!!

You turned this on at the right time man... the live has been VERY poor since launch but a game saving update came out earlier in the week and sorted all the live issues giving us the silky smooth live gameplay we deserve.

Live is just going to get better and better for this now I think.

I disagree, I played huge amounts of it before the patch, and now that the patch is out it honestly doesn't feel any different to me. Perhaps it's my connection though.

I think it may have stopped people cheating in live matches, I had a guy try but it didn't work and I beat him...made it all the sweeter.

I've noticed the difference from the patch too. Its far smoother and you can control the power of shots again. I've also been getting "quick matches" quickly. Rather than one very ten minutes.

The Gamerscore points system is really quite backwards in pes6 and you can just tell they made no effort with it at all. 40 points for winning the world cup on maximum difficulty? Yeah thanks for that. Same for finishing top of D2 on maximum dfificulty ML. Its a shame that the game doesnt reward players who work hard to be good.

Still despite the odd small niggle im enjoying pes6 more than any other game in the series. Its brutal and tough and thats the way i like it. Hows evryone doing in Master League? If your after a cheap striker who has power and pace buy King from Watfort. His stats also increase dramatically in a short space of time.
