iv been playing pro evo/iss since the first one was relised and still own all of them

theres a few things wrong with the game

1. free kick slow motion
2 the shooting is bad i meen bad u could be 1 on 1 with a kepper and tap the shoot button and it will go miles i meen miles over the bar now that does not make any sense
3. player reaction times are very very slow
4. players speed is well off henry not quicker than gary nevile il leave that for u to decide

also graphic wise its not amazing to me it seems no diff from the normal xbox version (yes iv played both on a hdtv)

i dont think buying fifa is an easy way out i think buying fifa is wanting half decent game no fifa has ever been bad far enough a few have been ok but not bad

I have both Fifa and PES and shockingly I prefer Fifa so far this time!

Out of interest how are the load times on the old ps2? they're fantastic on the 360.

well the PS2 and PC versions are pretty much better all across the board right,except for the visuals.

PS2 and PC get better online play,replay saving,32 stadiums,more leagues(?),PES Shop,training challenges,less slowdown and so on.I mean HOW can the PS2 version have better online play!?

The load times are longer than the 360,but not painfully.

I'll admit, my first impressions were negative, but that's cos I was playing as Liverpool on default difficulty, and I now realise that A) Liverpool are **** on this game (ffs.. I'd take Cisse on PES5 over any of these, and Crouch's stats are a joke)... West Ham are better! and B) default difficulty is ****... the midfield gets clogged and play becomes very stilted. Put it on max difficulty, find a team you are comfortable with and the game just kicks into life.

My copy isnt arriving today so I will have to wait till monday and as such havent played this yet but I agree with the comments that you really need to play any PES game multiple times before you get a feel for the changes in gameplay.

PES5 was a huge change from PES4 with its foul/pressure mechanism which initially put off many but with repeated play you learn how to tackle and apply pressure properly and its a great game. From the sounds of things here a similar re-learning period is necessary before everything snaps into place.

I will reserve my own opinions till next week then...

Is it me or are the through balls really good?

Through ball for me used to mean "pass to opposition". Now I use them all over the place as it keeps the ball moving. I don't know if they've been changed or whether after all this time I've only just started to use them correctly.

Smooth as anything, well except when lining up corners/freekicks/goal kicks. Then you get a slight framerate problem on both sides but other than that there's 0 lag.

Matches take a little while to find for me but once I'm in one I never have problem.

Me and a friend must have had 15 or so matches in one session last night with no problems.

Well thats kinda done it for me, with all the missing features online mucking up 3/3 times. Im taking it back and getting the PS2 version, its good but nothing special.

Aint that the truth mate.

I've got my PC hooked up to my 40" LCD so I get the PC version and it looks great at 1280x720....and don't forget, PS2 and PC players can now play each other!!! Excellent.

I love my 360, and I love PES, but this version just aint right.

Wow didn't know that, might have to try and trade this for Fifa and get the PC version then.

Does the PC version have proper widescreen this time round?

Edit - Oh and whats the lag like 'cause I dont think I could go back to laggy matches after the ones I've played on this.
