Sega really have sold their souls. Guess this is what happens when you have a hostile. I used to really love the sega games. I wonder the psp version of Sonic will be any good.

i agree, the folks saying these are dreamcast quality graphics have either never owned a dreamcast or a need a visit to specsavers.

don't get me wrong, sonic adventure was a lovely looking and playing dreamcast game but to say these viauals are of similar caliber is retarded in the extreme.

VGP only test games on a PAL machine unfortunately.
The JPN release will probably have English support though.

Because it's their platfom and they decide what is released on it. Once this pile of pap arrived they should have sent it right back for the dozens of fixes it clearly requires.

Just wanted to ask a few questions for people who loved Sonic Adventure.

I'm a huge fan of Sonic and adored Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast. It was a beautiful game with brillant adventure sections that made the world feel complete and some of the best Sonic stages designed. Yes it was buggy with an annoying camera and some real bad clipping but the game's platform design and sense of adventure is still beyond equal.

I know the outlook for Sonic on 360 does not sound good but a lot of you guys hate the Adventure series so you arent best to comment on any of the 3D Sonics!

So how does it compare to Sonic Adventure? Anyone?

I liked Sonic Adventure 1 a lot. It wasn't perfect as we all know, but was a lot of fun by and large. It was also devoid of any game destroying problems, just lots of niggles.

This new one just isn't any fun. The camera is worse than any in game enemy, the adventure bits are tedious beyond belief, the game gives absolutely no direction in what to do next (meaning mindless wandering until you stumble upon the next thing to do), the graphics are largely drab and basic, it has tons of slow down, a RIDICULOUS amount of loading, and plenty of bugs.

Basically it's a complete disaster and should never have got past QA. For the falling through the floor bugs alone it should have been knocked back. It just reeks of something which is a good 12 months from being done.

I wanted to like this too as I have fond memories of Sonic Adventure too, but since the original the series has completely lost the plot and shows no sign of getting it back.

Its the best made since Sonic Adv imo, and levels like the Crisis zone alone make the game worth having (most prob the best SONIC level ever made) . I can't wait to get my LE copy as this is just going by my mates version. Another thing too its got the best FMV I've seen outside a Square Soft game I know FMV doesn't count for much , but it still looks stunning and the music (which no one has Mentioned ) is just beautiful some of the best to come out of SEGA since ORTA or RES .

The trouble is isn't not perfect , there's loads of faults and bad parts and really I don't care @ all for the other characters I just want to play as Sonic But when its good , boy is it good (if you liked the 1st Sonic Adv) and for me the game looks stunning (action stages ) with some of the best textures I've seen onthe 360 .

Yeah or M$ when they pass utter pants like Bruce Lee , never mind some of the sh8t SEGA or Sony passed on thier consoles

Il be interested to play the demo as a Sega fanboy, but theres no way I'm buying a **** sonic game again.
