Im kinda stuck cos im dunno how to fish properly. I mean i not stuck in the sense that i cant progress in teh game, but when i fish i duno how you lure the fish in (without bait). It takes absolutley ages to ge ta bite, im talkin an hour here.

Do i jus let the thing bob up and down?

Luving the battling system, its very intuitive too.

Let it bob yeah, you should notice the line being pulled fairly quick though. Once this happen's just whip your arm above your head until you drag the fish in. Work's for me and I'm not using bait.

Wouldn't worry about that 112, wait till you get the map and you'll see how little ground you've actually traversed in the game.

People who've had it from launch said it took them around 40-72 hours to complete.

Is there a left-handed mode in this...?

As in Link being left handed? No there isn't - the Gamecube version is that one by all account

If you were taking about the controller, its probably as southpaw friendly a system as you'll ever find

I have an important question: Is there a big forest where you can free-roam?

Finally I have been able to sit down and devote some proper time to this. Firstly graphically it is impressive, better than any gamecube game I have seen I would say and that's over composite. After Windwaker (which I really enjoyed) I do feel that this is a return back to a more adult Link experience. Also the little tasks you have to do in the opening hour seem a little more involved that WW which helps with the immersion into Link's world.

The fishing was fun but annoying cos I was crap at it to start off with! Now I am up and running with the sword, etc it is much more fun. The wiimote and nunchuk just feel SO RIGHT in this game and is a great example of how these innovative controls can be used in the future.

So far so good. Looking forward to the next 7 hours!

Question: why does Link swim like that? Weird!!

Would anyone care to elaborate (not too spoilerish please) on the "dark" aspects some have mentioned? Coming from Nintendo, this is a surprise! Hell, I might actually buy a Zelda game for the first time.

I'm stuck and stumped! Fairly early on after 2nd temple:

Just been to the Zora domain and seen the frozen Zora's under the ice. I'm in wolf form and have no idea where to go. I can't turn back into Link (As far as I know) and I think I'm trying to get to Lake Hylia. All my entrances to it are blocked though. What am I meant to do!

                          EDIT: SORTED

7 hours in - lovin' it lovin' it lovin' it! Not read any other posts or reviews/previews, so apologies if this post sounds like an echo...

Controls - they feel incredibly natural, especially for the aiming weapons (slingshot, etc). I was one of the dubious ones beforehand, but I really can't imagine anyone preferring the GC controls once they have given this a whirl.

I can't decide if I like the new art style as much as Wind Waker, but it is an undeniably beautiful game and proves how adaptable Zelda games can be without compromising the quality. The music is very ambient, but so far lacking the catchy, hummable tunes of games gone by. Still, plenty of time for that to be rectified.

Action has been coming thick and fast, yet it feels like little has actually been achieved. I mean this in the best possible sense - that I have merely scratched the surface of a genuinely epic adventure. Glad to say that the combat is much more challenging and satisfying than Wind Waker, though I have not really encountered any hairy moments yet.

Can feel myself suddenly coming over ill - what a shame it would be if I had to miss work tomorrow and stay home all day

There's entirely too much monkey ass slapping going on in the Forest Temple for my liking

I feel the same way and I'm over 20hrs in now. Had to be very inventive over finding heart pieces also. 20hrs, feel like I've accomplished nothing!
