All the reviews I've read said the Wii version is visually identical (aside from being in widescreen and 480p), but controls much better with the Wiimote. From what I've played so far the controls work great, but aside from aiming I can see it also playing well on a pad.

Why are you so bothered about Wii online? There's hardly anything to do with it now anyway, just a small selection of VC games. The weather, news, and internet channels don't work yet.

You could just get the Nintendo DS Wifi dongle for your PC.

I've not touched this in 3 days, been holding off waiting on me component cable.

Caved in and spent the afternoon playing it. It just gets better. I'm overwhelmed with the **** I've got to do

I've found myself taking notes on places I need to go back and explore. Like a treasure box hidden away or Poe's and bugs. Anybody else ever done this on a Zelda game?

The last boss I faced left my jaw dropping. HUGE.

        LOVE. THIS. GAME.

More so on topic, has anyone fully completed the game yet, if so how long did it take to clock it, is the fishing really as in depth as had been mentioned?

Thanks for the heads up about turning down the wii remote speaker, can't stand the tinny noise from it to be honest.

Awesome game, 7 hours in approx and i'm magnetising my way about a temple

I'm interested in as to why the Wii version has widescreen support yet the GC version (apparently) doesn't. GC games, from even early on in its life, have had a widescreen option; I'm currently playing Eternal Darkness and that looks very good in 16:9. The lack of widescreen support just seems such a bizarre omission for such a major title on any platform nowadays let alone an epic action/adventure like this. What were they thinking?

Nintendo has lost all interest in the cube so they don't care which is a shame

Great game though and that's an understatement!

Lack of 16:9 in GC version is so that more people buy into the Wii if you ask me.

Rendering to 16:9 is a tiny, tiny bit more expensive. Not in terms of fillrate (as it's anamorphic), but a wider view does mean more objects on screen, and so more calculations.

It's pretty minimal though so I think it's unlikely this is anything other than another way to convince people to buy a Wii to play Zelda.

11 hours play in two days... it's a bit mental isn't it? But, it's probably the most fun game i've played since Half Life 2!

Best Zelda yet? certainly feels that way. everything about it is honed to perfection gameplay wise. The music feels retro SNES era and I cant work out if it's on purpose or not. Especially the twilight music

25 hours here since Saturday, and I still only feel I've scratched the surface.

I really don't know if I want to bother to pick this up... i've never really been into zelda games and i don't think i have 30 odd hours to spend playing such a game. Those guys who have got it already, take of your fanboy hats and please give me your opinion if this is worth picking up on the day?

If you hated OoT, you won't like this. But for me, it's contender for GOTY.

                                The hours fly by .
