I looked but couldbn't find it... bah. will get another look tonight. So much better when you have get an idea of what speed you are doing cause with the kmh I dont have a clue.... at the moment I tend to just slow down when the car shakes or one of my wheels has fallen off

Finishing the Nurburgring with a Gold rank was one of the best achievements I have ever had on the 360, took ages, was such a hard track cause you had to push yourself to the limit but it didnt drag on like some ofthese enduracne races tend to.

Not taking anything away from Forza thoug, I think it is class!!
            Yeah, I'd agree with that.

My main problem with Forza is the sense of speed the game creates. For instance coming off a long straight breaking hard into a bend I usually run wide as I'm trying to take it too fast at around 70 mph but it feels like I'm only doing around 40 mph. Paradoxically, when I get up to around 170 mph it's frighteningly fast and I feel I'm doing in excess of 200 mph.

If tweaking the final drive won't do it, then it's a matter of massaging gears 1-6 out a bit. You should have stuck to your guns with your own car. I have an unmodded 996 GT3 (apart from sticky tyres), and have won up to the 450bhp championship in it so far. Mainly by swerving like M.Schumacher to make sure the faster cars stay behind me on the straights.

Found that with this and DiRT, park your car on the racing line (or just inside) through the corners and you're fairly safe, it's not too often the AI manages a successful pass round the outside

To give the AI credit, that's a problem in real life motor sports as well. Doen't make for much of a videogame though.

I know what your saying but in the race I was struggling on it was really tough to win when its basically a top speed race, my car maxed out at 166MPH and the other were hitting 175MPH on the straights easily. So its a not contest over 4 laps on the oval, too hard to hold them off on a track like that.

I really did try it plenty of times so don't feel like a cheated by using a new car as it was basically the same car they were using anyway.

Finding the later races with the super powerful cars pretty difficult. I play with only ABS on and trying to drive a 700BHP RWD on the limit for 6 laps is no easy task. One little mistake will send you spinning off with a good chance of resulting in some major damage to your car and ending the race.

I've had yesterday some great races against the AI , I've played the Porsche vs Ferrari series, I had my F355 challenge against the F430 and GT2, after tweaking the gears a little I could even beat them on the tracks where I needed some more power, in the corners nothing could keep up with the F355, it was close racing and was great, IMO Turn 10 earns much credit for the AI in the game, it really is amazingly good.

when I upgrade/tune a car, my main priority is the handling of the car, and then I look at the power,

same here, got my lotus maxed in the B class, what it lacks in power it makes up in the corners, I played it till the 450bhp, there I needed the extra power,
Just online I noticed the Lotus really lacks power, it handles great but I just lose to much on the straights...

I did the exact same race series last night with my F355 as well. Similar results to you as well. got done on the straights but was so much faster in the corners it wasnt a problem.

Guys their is a nice physics calcuator here for setting a car up it works really well...

Really enjoying this online despite regularly meeting people who purposely ruin the race by driving around the wrong way and wrecking my car but am bored to death with the career mode. There's not enough variety, it takes too long to level up, and the races don't really get any harder, they just get longer. Compared to PGR3's career mode with it's perfect blend of racing, hot laps, time trials, overtaking, cone challenges and drift challenges, Foza 2's career mode is extremly dull and unimaginitive. Does anyone here know what cars are unlocked at level 50 and are they worth the time and effort?

^^ Feeling exactly the same at the moment mate

Currently at level 42 and it's starting to grate my nerves but I will persevere
I have done the first 4 series of races 100% and working on the rest. If it wasn't for the AI driver being available for when I am totally fed up I would have given up a long time ago
